Before and after shot taken from Mach E forum. Looks like factory has enough caster built in but with such lack of care from the tech, post alignment is gonna feel marginally better vs what the factory did. Alignment tech that actually cares enough to dial it in properly is worth his or her wt in gold. That is the exact reason we use the guys out at Apex Motoring, perfect every time.

Thanks Rick —think I will make an appointment.

It's only since 2018 I began to purchase new cars again for the simple reason I DON"T WANT TO WORK ON THEM....LOL. If I owned a dealership I would PDI ever new vehicle to make 100% sure the customer is happy. I'm under the impression this doesn't happen otherwise I would still have the F150.

Not cool how many bump over the curb for the first time without something as simple as the alignment being correct. Hope a decent alignment has yours feeling like it should. Most recently, car that owner previously had alignment done at least twice elsewhere, check of thrust angle revealed steering issue is actually a bent rear diff housing. Other shop(s) said nothing in spite of charging for 4 wheel alignment check.

Don’t forget with “sporty” cars (and sometimes big heavy slow to respond cars” they manufacture will align them to “feel sporty” which just results in twitchy on un even roads.
BMW has long been known to sacrifice tire life for “performance feel”

It’s been awhile but I would assume more of a camber issue than a caster issue.

I think this could be part of it —It takes right hand turns at traffic lights like a go kart. With all wheel drive and forward castor the rear won't break loose. A drift car trick. It's a bit dangerous tho for some peeps at higher speeds. I find the car to have very stiff suspension as well, very little lean. I will have to check the factory spring rates. I would guess more than 300 pds. There a magna-ride option I wasn't aware of.

Also seeing a few guys opting to replace rear shocks after complaining about control when the road gets rough / through dips etc with excellent results. Sounds like a heavy rear springs with not enough shock to properly control them

I imagine trying to compensate for the weight?

Looks like they may have missed on shock calibration by a good bit.
