We had a recent request for a multi-function switch (the turn signal / wiper / hazard switch combo) for a 98, and discovered that Ford has these set to go obsolete as soon as the stock is sold out. I had to put one in my own car last year, it had gone all green inside despite being a minty low km car. We ordered 1 in for stock this week, and there is 1 more at the Ford Canada warehouse. After that Ford has none in any of their North American warehouses, so it would be whatever is left on dealer shelves ... I only see one other dealer in Canada with it currently.
Club pricing on it is $95.02 + HST, fairly reasonable so if you plan to be a long-term jellybean owner then maybe you want to grab one to keep on the shelf for the future. These are available from the aftermarket but as we all know the quality of non-OEM parts these days can be pretty hit and miss.
