Pulled my 4 yr. old snow blower out, tried to start with the pull cord and noticed it appeared to have been damaged/frayed. A couple of pulls and it broke. Thankfully it has electric start so used that and after priming a few times and turning it over a handful of times, it started. Now I have to go find a replacement cord.....
Well...the little Toro had to go under the knife...err...wrenches. It's a CCR 2450 paddle model. Was using it the other day and all of a sudden I could feel something had let go. It was vibrating like mad. Took a closer look and found the welds had let go on one end of the mount on the shaft for the paddles.
With a ton of snow coming down today, I had to get my butt in gear. I tore into getting it apart. Fired up the mig and welded it back together and re assembled. Been out twice today to do the driveway...can't wait for April. Sick of the snow already...lol
Shitty deal but good to hear you have everything under control.
As for the sick of snow stuff, come on now, know you love it.
Be well .
I'm jealous, no snow here....
It's raining in the hammer at the moment!!
