Ford's Mustang Mach-E GT will cost almost $20,000 more than a Mach 1

"The top-of-the-line Mach-E model will set you back $82,995 in Canada, which is almost $20,000 more than the new Mustang Mach 1."
Buying a performance EV is sort of an oxymoron. I will gladly spend the same amount of money and be in a GT350 or ZL1 1LE

I agree. IMO, you get an EV because you are concerned with being "green".
Then you blow through gigawatts with "spirited" driving.
But it's what is selling EVs. Number one complaint of early EVs was golfcart-like performance.

I wonder if there will be a lease option for the Mach E? or maybe Ford doesn't want them back after a couple years.

the green aspect of this is always the talking point, but the mining requirements for the lithium and the disposal of the battery never get spoken about. I don't know what the environmental impacts are of these two parts of the life cycle of the car, but something that gets brushed aside because it can be plugged it into the wall.

^ All that and then some.

People think you can plug one end of an extension cord in to the other end...

The 2021 Mach I with handling pkg I looked at had an MSRP of about $74K, so I'm not sure who is doing their math for them.

Yeah, that is crazy. My GT had a MSRP of 42k in 2015.

Says 378kms of range. Left out the fine print...70 degs ambient temp, no wind, level road, no A/C running and 80km/h fixed speed!
