Still liking the new feel of yours?
Glad I could help.
I have the Sport Comps on my car. 275/35/20's on the front and 305/35/20's on the rear. The fronts were new in 2015 and the rears were almost new (bought from Heinz) at the same time. I've put 20,000km's on them and done 4 road course days at TMP and about 3 drag strip events. I've found them to be a very decent tire for the price. At last year's road course events I was very impressed with the grip, when properly inflated (thanks Tulowd Paul). And I ran a 12.87 best at the strip with them last summer also - which is very decent for a stock drivetrain/no tune full weight convertible.
However... I will say that this year these tires provided much less grip on at the spring track day at TMP. I've also noticed they are becoming increasingly noisy on the road and have noticeably less grip as well (although oddly, still very decent in the rain). I'm guessing that, although the tread still seems decent enough, they've heat cycled too many times and are ready for replacement. I've been researching tires to replace them with for a while, but I'll prolly finish out the season with them for now. For what I paid for them and what I've got out of them, I think they've been a good, decently priced tire.
2016 1500 Quad cab 6' box Laramie with 11k on the clock. It's at Caledon Chrysler, everyone we've come into contact thus far have been uber pleasant and accommodating. Have a deal in place along with deposit, couple small details for them to follow up on which I'm sure will play out first of the week.
This one, just like almost all others I've looked at, missing limited slip but will be adding myself. It's otherwise only short a couple or three possible options, like that it does not have a sunroof but will really enjoy the power rear slider. Thankfully it does not have the optional 3.90 gear, would have been a deal breaker as would towing mirrors. Would have preferred standard / small gas tank but larger one is fine. Black was at the bottom of my list (current ride is black), black pearl on this looks terrific cleaned up and in the sun.
To me, unless your doing a factory order, buying either new off the lot or used comes down to a compromise between what you must have and what your can or can not live with. I know for some, might think my going out with an absolutely carved in stone max budget might seem off, enjoy hunting down a great deal n making my dollar stretch to $1.49 worth of value. I'd otherwise be too careful (ok make that cheap) to have bought one pretty much loaded.
