30 years ago today I picked up my brand new 5.0...:tears_of_joy:

^ She's a beauty.
CDN/US trend should be upwards if the Covid threat continues to slowly fade but really gotta see what the economy over here does. US markets seem to be doing fairly well despite the country being an active tire fire. I'd think we hang out around 74-78c USD rangefor a while but maybe thats just me.
Taking a 6-month break from work. Focus on finishing the 88 notch that will be up for grabs between 20 and 24k (mint, 86,000km all original minus wheels/tires). Do some foxbody restoration work for other people for fun.
Finish up my studies and be ready for a new career in the fall. My job was taking a toll on my health, money isn't everything.
Can only hit “like” once ^^ all the best buddy

But seem to be able to double post lmao
US is a dumpster fire and the "market" (not the economy) reflects differently likely due to overweighting of the FAANG type stocks in the major indices which is hiding underlying issues (eg. quality of employment decreased prior to pandemic due to lower wage/benefit gig economy and contract jobs). That said, I wouldn't expect the FX rate to hold positive in Canada's favour longer term because the export income we depend on (ie. resource related) is tied to economic activity globally which is down and expected to be down for a while until countries start to re-open fully (which is uncertain at this point). Even then, we may be in a recession or depression which will keep demand low. Good example which is visible to all of us is the oil meltdown which started around the time of the pandemic - that's a big hit to our bottom line before you add all the other stuff we dig out of the ground and sell to other people.
Dang - crazy shit in this world.

What started as just fixing an oil leak has my garage riddled with cleaned up, new and/or painted parts for the 88. Once done it will be nicer than new lol Kind of like a life-sized model car. May only have 86k km but man was it ever dirty.
Which of you own a Yellow 15 - 17 GT with a personalized plate exiting the 401 EB at Brock Road this morning? I won't post the plate but you do drive like an a-hole for the record.
105 in my garage, my balls are sweaty... How can you not day drink? I'm trying... trying real hard to stop lol
Can you guys PLEASE take all this mask, distancing, covid stuff over to the COVID THREAD.
Good point - thanks. Was starting to spread out.
Thread cleaned up - posts moved to Covid thread.
Today can fuck right the fuck off.
Time for beers.
Just picked my jet skies up after service.
I was asked if interested in selling them. (I am not) Apparently new ones are completely sold out because people are vacationing at home. It was indicated I could get almost what I paid for them 5 years ago.
So if anyone is thinking of selling theirs.....now the time!
Is it too early for poutine?
Also does anyone on here own a 2019 or 2020 Dodge Durango ? I was looking into perhaps buying one as my family vehicle. I’m not really a dodge guy but I’m liking the V8 in an SUV

All this talk of poutine has got me thinking of lunch already. I'm gonna kick it up a notch and get myself some Greek Bros. chicken souvlaki poutine with spicy tzatziki for lunch.
I went with the pork souvlaki poutine instead of the chicken. Damn it was good.
A buddy of mine who is a die hard import guy bought a used 2014 Durango last year. He is absolutely loving it. He doesnt drive his import car anymore. His is a limited V6. He has converted his brother who refuses to buy anything that isn't built by Toyota/Lexus. I have to say that after driving it, I am very impressed. I would buy one and I hate suv's. My advice. Rent one for a weekend before you buy. See if it suits your needs. Also for 2021 you can get one with 700 hp. Lol

house is sold. started the clean out. Tbird packed up and moved to a storage unit.
Have to be out by end of august.
You resolve things at the new place with the entrance?
Spent 9 hours stripping wallpaper with a steamer today. Had been up since October 83 according to what the hangers wrote on the wall. Still more to go but I have to borrow my dad's ladder to finish. Plus at this point I'm finished for a few days.
Not 100% as of yet.
I’ve contacted people in the governments and they are telling me to proceed and deal threw the municipality
My mom found this tool that helped break up the wall paper just rolling over it.
Then it just scrapped off
Said it made it so much faster was got at Canadian tire
The scoring tool? I've got one of those. I tried multiple methods including scoring with hot water, scoring with hot water mixed with wallpaper remover and or fabric softener (numerous sources said it helps), scoring and steamer and just steamer. Only thing that actually worked was the steamer, and scoring or not scoring didn't change the amount of time needed.
Now I just have to clean all the remaining glue off the walls, which is a whole process in itself.
This wallpaper wasn't peelable or easy strip. I've removed that stuff before and it was much easier.
