^^ back to dating Slope......those antibiotics must have extinguished your nasty chimney fire ;)
So I was at the local Ford store getting the oil changed on the truck and was naturally looking around the lot.
There was a 2015 Lincoln Navigator XL there. Looked pretty sharp. Anyway, it was $90K before taxes.
Ouch
did you take a buddy with you?
...because a dealership is not really a place you should be alone.
The 2015 Navigator is an Embarrassment, the same old 10 year old chassis keeps getting rolled out, the Chebby Tahoe full size SUV has had two had two re-designes in that time.
Ford's idea of a new Navigator is dropping the V6 Ecoboost from the Explorer Sport in it and raising the price. http://www.screamingelectron.org/for...lies/silly.gif
Ford have ignored the big full size Three Row SUV for big active families, I looked at the 2013 Navigator before I bought the Explorer Sport, it had an outdated interior with an ancient GPS and the old 5.4 and cost 80 grand! Fck that!
FORD FULL SIZE SUV CHOICES = FAIL
Bring back the EXCURSION, that was EPIC!
I should have taken a pic. It did look pretty sharp on the lot.
But yes, I agree. It's old and it shows. The updated front end can't hide that. Apparently the Ecoboost engine performs really well tho. The reviews in Motortrend's SUV of the year were very positive.
An all new one (and Expi) is coming next year so hopefully it's significantly improved.
Why the hell did we "allow" ourselves to be distracted by Saddam in Iraq and give Iran so much room to run for a decade plus - they are a worse threat than Saddam ever was. Can't believe these idiots (and their supportive neighbours) are still calling for the annihilation of another nation/people - Hitler did that not too long ago and the world said "no" (albeit late for the millions that perished).

Happy ending but damn, 10 years and no one did anything? If anyone around you is doing this please report it - winter is coming.

I think I'll always prefer the Escalade over the Navigator. It'll be interesting to see what Lincoln comes up with next year. They need a total re-design of all their cars IMO.
Obama is the worst President in US History, with an abysmal record on Diplomacy and External Affairs and with his Muslim Heritage is probably not going to be very aggressive on IRAN's pursuit of NUKES.
That said, India, North Korea and Pakistan have Nuclear Weapons, what do you propose we do about them? Conundrum isn't it?
In the Mid East only the Israelis have Nukes (they neither officially confirm nor deny they have them) and the Muslim nations want to level the playing field, can you blame them?
Pakistan is one of the largest havens for Extremists on the Planet, there are areas that a basically self governed, what if Extremists were able to get a hold of and control of Pakistan's NUKES?
There are US Flags burned and protests every day in Pakistan denouncing the US.
Should we be proactive? Attempt to disarm any country that could use NUKES against the WEST?
These are complicated times.
How about a mandatory 10 day waiting period for any country wishing to purchase nuclear weapons? That should work! Extremists don't need WMD to fight their Jihad... it would end all of their fun too soon. What would be left??? Live in peace? They don't want that.
is there a way to make videos NOT play automatically?
...or is it just me?
sorry 92redragtop, but that posted video is really annoying . ....like second hand smoke ;)
I wanted to photoshop something today, but I forgot what it was.
I remember what it was now.
I just need to be reminded when I get home...

MY adult advent calendar is on my mind...
Heading up to the Soo next week. This is what I have to look forward to:
http://www.sootoday.com/content/news...ls.asp?c=81498
On an average year the Sault Ste. Marie region usually receives just over 300 cm of snow.
Typically 40 cm of that total falls in the month of November.
In the last week alone, Sault Ste. Marie has received over 100 cm…..let that sink in and then remember it’s only November 14.
We have already received over a third of our entire snowfall amount for an entire winter and we are still in the first half of November.
This is an incredible climatological event.
Yesterday (Thursday) the Sault Ste. Marie airport recorded 61 cm of snow in the one day.
That ties a record dating back to 1947 for the most snow in a single day EVER for this location…..let that sink in again and then remember again that it’s only November 14.
What’s even more remarkable is that the previous snowfall record occurred in February of 1947, in the heart of winter!
The previous snowfall record for daily snow in November was 37 cm in 1988, we nearly doubled that yesterday. Yet another incredible climatological event.
Friday will finally bring an end to the lake effect snow machine and may even give way to the odd sunny break.
Daytime highs will remain over five degrees below normal values for mid-November as they remain below freezing.
There remains a risk of the odd flurry through the day.
Saturday will start out cold with morning lows likely below -10°C.
Despite periodic sunshine the daytime highs will again be a couple degrees below freezing – but there shouldn’t be any snow.
Sunday will see a system move just south of the Sault Ste. Marie region, but the northern edge should just be close enough to bring more snow.
2-5 cm looks likely for Sunday, but a change in the systems path could push that number up closer to near 10 cm.
If you’ve made it through the first 100 cm this past week – heck another 10 cm barely matters now.
snow in the Soo, in November!
