Before the rate increases my rate was something like 1.67 variable and hopefully on its way back down to there. I've never asked the credit union for anything but just knowing how much I will get charged monthly is a comfort on its own and so far hasn't wavered. I used a credit union way back in the late '80's and early '90's and they where fairly easy to deal with then. (Mind you they where tied into the company I worked with) I'm thinking in the future I won't have much need for a bank. On Wealth Simple I get 4.5% on cash held in there and they are getting more and more like a bank. (This is doing better then any stock I hold) I think banks should pay attention or maybe not. lol
correction I'm getting 4% on cash at WS
