Amid or post pandemic?
Engine $900-1250 likely
Transmission maybe $650-850
Supercharger kit $2500-$3000
Could try and sell entire thing as a $5000 package with K member.

I have this argument with myself a lot. Its not "bad" aside from the logic that your car in its current state is likely worth 11-14k, of which 10k added to gets you a really nice S197 Coyote car or spitting distance of an S550 coyote car, both of which come with all the modern accouterments and benefit of being a factory built car. If the new edge convertible is your "forever car" then maybe it's worth it, but I honestly I have a hard time with the proposition of dumping 10k in to my car to essentially end up the same power level in the end. If a shop could guarantee me that my car plus 10k gets me back a Coyote powered car with working AC/Heat/Power Steering and no cut corners then maybe.
But honestly by the time you source motor/trans/control pack and harness/k member/exhaust/clutch all the misc lines and hardware needed I feel like it's going to be above $13000 even after getting top dollar for my currently setup. Which puts you right at S550 money and honestly those things are fucking awesome.
Along the same lines I was pondering a 2.3 Ecoboost swap in my SVO rather than trying to do anything with the original 2.3 SOHC engine. However I decided that I didn't really want to be in to the car financially for that much, especially with my history in the last dozen years of only owning a car for 3-4 years tops. So I took the easy route and went S550 Coyote.
