after driving the fox all weekend and 1200km... getting into the new GT this morning felt like I was piloting a rocket ship trying to slingshot around the sun to hit max speed... holy hell. I'm going to loose my licence today.
I used to think that way, hard not to. Hint: Everyone will accept enough rope to hang themselves with.
As AI gets better and companies are further forced to crunch down on overhead, weak ass employees will be pretty easy to find. There are plenty of ways to see who is bringing value and who isn't.
this is mainly why I went back to working for a small business and then jumped at the opportunity to buy it. I got tired of doing all the work an getting none of the credit. as an apprentice years ago. I would do my work but some of the work for my journeyman. plus help out the other guys, plus teardowns for the appraisers. plus plus plus. and I would always get crap from the boss that my numbers were not where he wanted them to be. finaly he got mad and said I would sink or swim, and put me on flat rate, when he did that I stopped doing all the other stuff and only did my work and was always asking for more. my completed number of jobs went way up. And then EVERYBODY in the shop was mad at me, the guys because I wasn't doing there work anymore. and the boss because "you only work hard when it benefits you"
my FSM threw one of the companies we do service work for retired in may. he had been there forever, and was the best we deal with. he retired and the whole department went to shit. they have now hired THREE people to do the job that he was doing. I don't know what he was being payed, but it wasn't enough.
