Is the box actually wooden, or just printed like that?
Looks like cardboard.

So polished of the 12year old Small Batch and picked up this Limited Edition, I kept a shot in the 12year old to try them back2back before the 12year was done.
The Limited has an incredible amount of flavour and a strong nose, but it is not as smooth as the 12 year old, which also has great flavour too. I would buy the 12year old Small Batch again, over this new Limited Edition.
I found the Limited to be pretty harsh too. Ultra smooth is the Forty Creek Confederation Oak, absolutely amazing. And not so much smooth as it is subtle is Buffalo Trace - it is very easy sipping.
I just got a "D" version of Forty Creek Confederation. The last one in a local LCBO. How much difference was there from "D" to "E" that you noticed?
Thanks.
I had the "E" at the distillery and the "D" a few days later when I bought mine. So really hard to say. But, the two people at the distillery that I spoke too both agreed that there was enough of a difference to tell me about it and to tell me not to buy the one they had in stock but rather to go try to find the other one first.
Speechless.
I'm torn between:
That's stupid.
That guy is probably dead now from alcohol poisoning.
That was incredible!
Thats a good way to get alcohol poisoning

Good Flavour here ^^^
It was delicious - she hit it out of the park on the first try with this one and it paired nicely with that wine.
Received this Wells Banana Bread Beer as a gift so thought I'd try it out tonight - paired it with Beef Saos served over wild rice blend, caesar salad (not shown), and finished off with pumpkin cheesecake (all homemade except for the salad).

Out for dinner with the Family last night and they had this on tap.
Very nice.
 I'm there tonight with a fresh batch of 40 too .
Cheers Johnny!!! 40 FTW buddy!!!
BB must say quite smooth for your average priced whiskey , growing up had cc and crown in my dads bar lol , but I can say trumps them both imo ;)
We picked this up at the Henry of Pelham winery back in November and paired it tonight with spaghetti and meatballs, and a caesar salad. Delicious!

Another BONESHAKER, only have a few left, so will enjoy these.
This Country really does make great Beer. http://smileys.on-my-web.com/reposit...da-flag-14.gif
All the raving on this site, usually by BB, about 40 had me try it just fairly recently. My Makers 46 is collecting dust and I now have a collection of 40C bottles to choose from. I still prefer scotch but as a change of pace 40 Creek, specifically the Confederation Oak, is my go to.

Used to hate this stuff but this last batch I bought for carbombs is tasty. Drinking it regularly.
