Sharp looking truck!
….perfect for hauling 1/2 sheets of plywood ;)
She is a looker, congrats!!
Coming up the street yesterday, squeak squeak squeak from the RF wheel. Jacked up n pulled brakes off to spin, wheel bearing has had the biscuit. Order up some parts tomorrow n get the old gal back on the road, likely do both sides.

Waiting........................................... .................................................. ..................................
Had the new truck home and within 20 hrs we had a full load of wood on. It stayed new for almost a full day…lol
Really love how the power is put down with the 3.70 gears and 10 speed transmission.
It is a little more choppy than my previous truck….this truck is lighter than the previous one .
Over all…I like it… really like the cell phone charging pad.
still learning all the Nannie’s .
And no “start/stop “ feature on this truck..:thumbsup:
Picked up some new windshield wipers from FastEd a couple of weeks ago and finally got to give them a good try this morning. No more streaks, and nice and quiet.
^ Remember way back when, wipers lasted for yrs n yrs n yrs.
I have new wiper blades and they chatter on the windshield like crazy.
^ Fawk it, time to trade.
Went with a Mevotech TTX series wheel bearing kit. Going to do both but only one available right now, at least Rambo is back up and running.................quietly. :)

What made you go with Mevotech kit?
Couple reasons, product itself looks high quality, comes coated as in the pic, includes new hardware and warranty is excellent. So far they have been one of the most reliable options we've used. Growing tired of opening high end box by co A only to find it's not made by them.
Picked up a car cover.
Every time I was parking underground it was getting dusty after the wash.
Ordered a set of General Grabber Arctic for the Ram today. While I really liked the Avalanche Extreme, current set did not wear well.

^^ If you are looking for a real world review, I think the G unit runs those on his F150.
Already pulled the trigger from Scott. Most of what I'm seeing out there are what I'd classify as a "city snow tire". Back into sledding will see a trailer on back at least once a week, need something that can actually deal with a snotty unplowed road. Another consideration, snow flake rated so there is no grey area with ins co. My summer skins are M&S rated, looking at the tread and having driven on them in an early snow (traction of a virtually bald tire), no idea how tire co's get away with rating them as such.
Ram is in for some much needed love.
-broken exhaust stud on the passenger side (did drivers side some time ago). Once the heat shield was off, luckily it broken just barely below edge of the manifold so first welded a washer to it then a nut, few taps of the hammer and it spun right out. Yes should pull manifold n replace all bolts and gasket but time is at a premium this go round.
-rotors and new factory pads on the front.
-OE front struts replaced with Bilsteins
-LF wheel bearing replaced with premium Mevotech (did other side while back)
Today we are doing Bilsteins on the rear plus pulling axles to replace both backing plates and parking brake (complete units from OE) then finishing off with an oil n filter change. Truck has been awesome to me over the yrs, first real money I've spent on it, don't begrudge a cent of it. Next time in will be trans pan n filter change, front diff change plus transfer case flush n fill.
Got lucky, replacing single broken exhaust manifold bolt then snugged back down worked without removing entire manifold...........leak is gonzo.
Brakes back to feeling top notch.
Parking brake working as it should.
Wheel brng took away constant growl in the front.
While I was looking fwd to a difference installing new struts and shocks, did not expect it to be that much. Bilstein got the valving right with a combo of control plus significant upgrade in ride. :)
I’ve had my truck for a year now….gotta slow down using it so much….just turned over 2400 klm….lol
LOL
At least PS has excellent access, can't say same about DS when I did it but still not a super terrible job.

^ Niiiiiiiiiiiiice.
Liked the front Powerstop coated rotors so much, put a pair on the rear with new pads.

Originals did alight at 170k
After 220,000 I thought it was time. Stuck to the old man less noise motif. Figuratively and literally. It’s a persona I’m slipping into comfortably. I guess next it will soon be time for the original brakes to come off. Haha

New tires?
yep
Changed the air in all 4 summer tires.
….when I finished replacing all the valve stems. Gotta say, that valve stem tool kit works amazing. Once I got the knack of it, was changing stems in seconds. Longest part was refilling the tire with air.
No, that’s the beauty and speed of this kit. You just push the new valve stem with the rod through a funnel and pop the whole stem through the rim. Then you pull it into place with the same rod.
On a roll today. Also got the rear diff oil changed.
Nothing major, just a tail light bulb change. I did the top one on the right about two months ago and tonight the bottom one on the left let go. Glad I bought a two-pack.
Did an oil change on my F150 at the base garage. Thankful not having to lay on my back to do it. Also, really lovin' the Fumoto oil drain valve!
