Still a great price... With the exchange etc, still could be a bargain!!

I paid $1,400 CDN installed for my last set of these tires.

There's an additional $70 mail in rebate which make 4 tires $447 plus shipping.
To my door shipping was estimated at $188
So with exchange, about $860 CAD + hst
I there might be a bit of duty because they are not made in the US.
Seems like a deal

My guess is that certain sizes are being phased out in that model. The DW has been out for around 7 years now, Continental may be coming out with a replacement for it. I've heard nothing yet, but can ask our Continental rep next time he stops by.
In the meantime that is a great deal for very good tires, even once shipping costs and exchange are figured in.

Al,
if you are considering them, I currently have them on my car and I am very pleased with them.
a bit softer riding tire - I don't remember exactly but I think I paid $1033 all in locally

I have a brother in law in the tire business. He tells me they are discontinued so explains the clearance pricing.
I assume another 8% duty since they are not made in the USA.
Still tempting.

just hope they offer wide sizing selection.
PALM SPRINGS, Calif. (Oct. 13, 2016) — Continental Tire the Americas L.L.C. called upon five professional race drivers to offer input in the design of its latest UHP tire, the ExtremeContact Sport.
The new line is the successor to the ExtremeContact DW — on the market since 2009 — and targets car enthusiasts who demand extreme grip in dry and wet conditions, the tire maker said.

I hope you got your set because I just bought the last 3 sets they had, so they're out of stock for now, not sure if they'll be getting them back in since they show nothing in the warehouse.

Many times Tire Rack blows out tires once the date code is beyond one or two years. They usually charge between $15 and $30/USD per tire freight to Buffalo area, the $70 Visa card will offset that.
They have some unbelievable deals on there from time to time - seen some high end race tires sell for less than half on occasion.

Don't forget to add on installation, balancing, and extra for nitrogen.
