The cars up at Jody's having the remaining rust fixed and Camaro plastic gas tank brackets welded in. The plan was to just paint the engine bay but Jody want to paint the entire car while it there. The only colour that are excluded for consideration are Purple (cause I'm not the joker), Black (one shiny black car is punishment enough), Bright yellow (been there done that looks like big bird) and white (wife says no it boring)
The car is meant to have its looks tied to the 70's while giving it a more modern up to date look.
I am honestly leaning towards Gold, but not chrome gold ingot. There are almost no gold Datsun 240's other than Chris Forsberg's car which was currently completely changed for Sema.
This is what I'm going for but with slight colour change

The colour choice (maybe) is BMW Auston Yellow

BMW color is too out there in person, a nice vintage gold (think the color of trans am snowflake wheels) would look amazing

That car screams some sort of high metallic burnt orange paint
Trying to link examples but my phone is having non of it.
there is a silver that I see on the new Lexus coupe that is sooo freakin horny....I think it's called "Liquid Platinum"
if I was doing a ground up build and full paint I'd be looking hard at that colour

Is that the same as bronze? Because I was thinking bronze.

I googled bronze, and didn't like it.
But I found this pale lime green sort of colour...

Was thinking something like this. You want be closer to the red side of orange. Less brown.
Either way that car needs something with a lot of metallic or pearl. Let the lines make the colour dance

That dark green that mellow posted looks killer, or even a brown/maroon colour like Kevin's old ride would look good. Skittles colours don't look right on classics

This colour? I'm not sure this colour gives enough bling.

Ya, I think it looks nice and understated, I'm guessing he's doing some big wheels and tires and flares, I think it would look great.
