These have been on sale in South America and Europe for a few years I believe, but yesterday it was announced for 2018 model year for the U.S. (and presumably Canada as well):

Based off the Fiesta platform, they will come with either the 1.0L Ecoboost 3-cylinder with FWD, or the 2.0L NA with AWD. The subcompact SUV market is growing steadily, this will be a good entry I think. Great for people who need or a prefer a smaller footprint vehicle, but can use the additional space of an SUV interior compared to a passenger car.
