To anyone running the Torque app, do you need data on your phone to use the app in the car? I'm thinking about using an old smart phone and the torque app to monitor the new set up in Ol Paint until I can some gauges.

It works fine without data. If you download google maps offline mode then even the maps work

Yup no need for data..... I even used it on my tablet, much better for viewing, found the phone a little small to view while driving, but still effective. Have you got an OBD II reader? If you haven't bought one I have one that works flawless and is just collecting dust.
