Been at it since 5yrs old myself. In spite of going two seasons without one n thinking I was done with sledding, pulled the trigger on a new one last spring. I thoroughly enjoyed the almost 300 miles I racked up on it, can't wait to get it back out. No one more shocked than me I bought a Poo after so many years riding Cat only.
Mid - late March shot from Haliburton Forest.
Mod list thus far, Woody's Golddiggers X 3 per bar, helmet plug, taller windshield, rear rack and bag, Rox adjustable riser plus front / belly pan protection. Also treated it to riding in an enclosed trailer. Pretty much set for this year, short list of mods n acc's to come.
If your an adrenalin junkie, hard to beat sledding.

Bought my trailpass today. Had one last year and didn't ride at all, but hey...the ProXR needs current paperwork in case I can find snow.....also, the kidlet isn't playing hockey for the first time in 9 yrs, sooooooo

I love your Axys with the black/red side panels over the white ones.

I love your Axys with the black/red side panels and the red belly. The way Poo should have built the 800.

Thanks. Was an absolute fluke how it played out. All set to head out Ottawa way to purchase a white / red Pro S 800 without electric start when the dealer in Orillia put one up for a good chunk less plus no charge freight and PDI. Called soon as they opened to put a deposit down half figuring it had to be a typo, must be a 600 pull start. He explained a recent Switchback buyer didn't like the red / black combo so they switched the panels new in the crate. Confirmed it's an 800 ES so Ross n I made the drive to purchase.
Enough snow out back of his place to test ride the dealers 800 demo (identical to yours). Ross a buddy and myself all took it for a scoot down the trail. Having never been on an Axys, impressed how good it felt. My buddy liked it so much he went back in and bought an 800 Switchback in the same color combo.
Even better, although March was getting long in the tooth, decent enough to ride twice in Haliburton Forest.

I'm in the process of swapping a 07 mono shock skid into my 01 sxr 700. Going through the whole skid first new bushings and bearings, shock is getting serviced and revalved also.
Usually late dec before I get out but hoping for a early start this year

It is a 137. It is my first longer track machine. It took a little getting use to as you can't throw it around quite like you can a shorty.

Has to be just that much better in the loose / deeper snow though. Went back n forth in my head before purchasing my 120 Rush vs going with a 137 Switchback (they had both sitting there). Dealer and his manager rode one of each as a demo. Mgr having switched back and forth between them, also felt the shorter track sled turned notably sharper in the trails, especially when your riding hard and it's super tight. If they had made one, would have chosen a 129 like my last few Cats. Long enough to have more hook but short enough to only slightly impact turning. I saw Ski Doo came out with a 129 last year, it sparked my interest enough I almost bought a 1200 Blizzard.
Looking forward to getting a few miles in on my buddy's Switchback to get a better idea if I really made the right choice, liking the razor sharp handling of the shorter Rush thus far.

At first I didn't like it and felt I made a mistake. I gave it a few more weekends and grew to like it. I can't say it is any better or worse than my previous 120" Ski-doo, but in certain snow conditions where the skis and track are both hooked up like "a cat on carpet", the machine wants to high-side or buck you off. I had a couple of scares last winter. I think the sled sits a little higher than my previous sled, so that may contribute to the occasional tippy-ness. I never noticed any better floatation in deeper snow. It is one inch wider ( 16 inch ) and 8.5 inches longer track area, but it is only a 1-1/4" lug height.

I love reading honest reviews, good to hear it's grown on you. My previous sled ('11 F8 Ltd) had the same type of characteristics in those type of conditions. Slightly looser snow and it was amazing, never felt I could fully trust it when hooked hard both front and back, was still a terrific sled. Wasn't a fan of the lime green when I purchased but it grew on me.
