View Full Version : Can't receive texts from an I Phone.

So I can send a text no problem (sent from S4), it's received with no issue (I Phone). When a reply is sent from the I Phone, I see nothing but it shows at the senders end. I've tried texting with a couple of other peeps with I Phones, no problemo. Can anyone shed light on whats up?

iPhone users can set their txt Messaging responses to only send messages using iMessage. This works for Apple Devices only.
This Apple service enable txt messages to be sent effectively, for free, bypassing the SMS system.

If the iPhone user does not have the "Send as SMS" (when iMessage is unavailable) turned on on their iPhone, the response message will not be sent.
When this setting is turned on the messages will be sent, but it will NOT be free, the txt, will either incur a delivery cost or count toward the users txt total within their Cell Plan.

This setting can be found on the iPhone with the following:

Settings - Messages - Send as SMS

I think the bigger question is...if you know someone using an iPhone, do you even want to receive a text from them? :D

Life was so much less complicated when I still used a Motrolla flip.

iPhone FTW!!!! Will never use another phone again. Unless they go bust then in that case I'll have no choice. But I love me iPhone 6 plus!!! It's almost as big as my iPad Mini..lmao

It's possessed I tell you. Has again randomly added names to blocked senders list in spite of my having never used that feature. Why did I ever give up my trusty flip phone!!! :)

I will admit the new technology is cool and I do love my S6 but my old flip was indestructible...I even ran it over with a forklift once, it never once had a problem that I can remember...
