That does look well done, but that seems a shame to cut up a perfectly good GT500.

If it looks as good up close as it does in the vid, this guy is a serious craftsman, and a gutsy one at that.

Modern performance and classic looks has my vote.

I watched it a few times and this video as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fUQVDuGVUrM Great skill and certainly different but the back end looks bad and the whole car is too high up on the wheels. The 67 body is much lower and narrower than the 2012. At a quick glance it looks amazing, and it is amazing. look longer and it doesn't look so amazing. I want it BTW.

Exactly ... awesome craftsmanship, but the end result doesn't look quite "right. The fender flares and stance of the car give it too much of a cartoonish look IMO. Probably 75% (or more) of what makes a car look cool is the stance and wheel / tire fitment ... this car doesn't get either of those right unfortunately, due to the constraints of the donour chassis dimensions vs. the body dimensions.

cheers

Funny you should say that, came away with pretty much the same conclusion. Can appreciate what it took to build though.

Ambitious build, but the end result is odd, and the cost has to be more or similar to restomoding an original.

'A' for effort though.

Just watched it a couple times and yes wheels and stance are off , looks like u gotta squish it down a bit . Interesting but don't think I would of chopped a Shelby for it

like the front and side shots. back shot kind of reminds me of the Daytona coupe, a good thing.
the wheel flares are what really stands out. that i don't like so much

Great concept, workmanship but, execution not to the same standard.
