Shannon Weatherdon nee Carroll with much heartbreak and sadness we announce the passing of Shannon Weatherdon on the morning of Thursday September 22nd 2016.

Loving mother to Josephine (12) and Charlotte (9) and beloved wife of Kevin. She will be deeply missed by Larry Carroll (father) Peggy Carroll (mother) Sisters to Jennifer (Bill) and Melissa (Dan). Amazing Auntie to Ella and Dylan. Daughter in-law to Don and Linda Weatherdon, Sister in-law to Shawn and surrogate sister to Tara Fryia.

Only 40 years with us you left an impact on everyone you met with your generosity and your kind heart. You left us much too early but through your girls we get to see you every day. They are your legacy and our rock.

Shannon was honoured to be a part of loving and caring for Mya and Nicolas who she thought of as her own babies.
We ask that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Ontario Rett Syndrome Association.

We wish to express our appreciation to the caring team of Station One of the ICU at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.

Family and friends are invited to join us at:

St. Gertrude’s Catholic Church
Wednesday September 28th @ 10 AM
690 King Street East Oshawa for a service and celebration of Shannon’s life.

We ask that those who wish to attend wear a touch of purple as it was her favourite colour and the colour representing Rett Syndrome a cause near and dear to her heart.

I first met you and Shannon on August 31/2002, when you drove all the way to Port Perry to see my brand new first-one-in-Toronto terminator. Both of you were so excited to see it, and when I let you take it for a spin, Shannon was more pleased than you were.
She was a lovely woman and a great mother. I know her best traits will carry on in her two strong daughters.

I also had the privilege of meeting her several times. She was always so nice and even invited us back to their home one year after the a car show in Newcastle. Generous hostess to say the least.
