Looking for pics and opinions on a " high flow " grill for my 2005 Mustang. I do not want a billet grill but would like to stick with the stock look without fog lights. Thinking of a Bullitt grill that I would open up for more air flow but they are too expensive to butcher. Any and all opinions appreciated!

Doesn't have the stock honeycomb look, but this is what I'm running.
CDC makes them.

Do they make matching lower Scott?

Yes, they do Rick. I have the upper and lower on mine (that we installed at Woodward) :)

Bullet grille is actually really restricted a lot of the holes are blocked off. I wanted a billet grille but dont like the unfinished look of most. I found the Shelby GT grille has a surround and looks much nicer, I painted mine black for a similar effect as above

Thank you sir. It was a four years ago. Number of rides you see in a year, can't blame ya for not remembering.

I'd definitely source a Bullitt grille and open it up for airflow. Personally I think it's the best looking option for the S197. With such a huge build in the works I'd definitely spend the extra few bucks and get the grille you personally like. Good luck can't wait to see this car complete.

Dealer wants $775 so I'm trying to find a take off cheaper. LMK if you find one. If I can't find one I have to bite the Bullitt ( ha ha )!

Anyone make a grill delete?

NickD

Parts cheap has the best deal on a real bullett grille, if you wanted to do a grille delete I would order the Shelby GT grille surround like I have I believe they used the same part to make the teralingua grills

Also Id have to look but would a v6 grille fit? drill out all the honeycomb on it?

I'd like to see fitment and your impressions when you get it, I've wanted a bullett grille as well. The pics and vid for this showed gaps along the bumper. I'm hoping it was just the car.

There will be gaps but I already have them with my existing aftermarket grill. This is from LMRs site:

DISCLAIMER***
Tiny gaps between the bottom of the grille and bumper are normal. Factory GT & Bullitt grilles, as well as this new grille, commonly had high/low spots that vary from car to car.

My factory and aftermarket Shelby one have zero gaps, the gaps in the vid looked pretty dramatic if I received one that fit like that I'd send it back.
Your cars too nice to have ill fitting parts

Reading that disclaimer makes me think its the bumper cover that's the issue and not the grille itself since the gaps can varies from car to car.

On some, even stock grill fits poor-ish. Agree it's likely the bumper covers to blame.

When I had my 07 GT with the original Bullitt grill, the fit was quite good but again the bumper cover does have a lot to do with how it fits. Reminds me of my previous foxes where the rear bumper sagged ever so slightly.

Didn't I buy that grille from you with the leather steering wheel?
