I drive a 1993 Mustang LX coupe V8. I am not sure how many KMs are on the car but given the mint condition i figure around 150000 km. My issue is the lack of power. I can spin the wheels with a little fish tailing but when i power shift to second a rarely chirp the wheels and the rest of the gears got nothing special happening. It just doesn't seem that i am driving a mustang.

The engine is pretty stock. Only thing i see done to the engine is under drive pulleys and a fender mount cold air intake. I just did a full exhaust system (Long tube BBK, high flow H-pipe and magnaflow cat back. I also put 3:55 gears in the rear end. I replaced my clutch about 500kms with a simple Ford Performance stage 1 clutch.

I guess the question is why don't i have any good power? Some say it could be my timing off.

For the time it came out, was the big guy on the block. With the passing of years, power has been bumped up huge, what are you comparing it to? Has the engine been properly set up or dyno'd to confirm output?

I thought all stock foxbodies lacked power?

Not being able to spin the tires might just mean you have good tires and suspension.
