Hello everyone,
I have come across a Stage 2, Kenne Bell Supercharger complete kit, minus tune and BAP for 4400USD shipped or 6000 CAN.
I was wondering how would I go about questioning the sellers about important thing.
He states he made 500 with the kit with long tubes, X pipes and 103,000 miles on his block. and would be around 450 if I use the kit with my stock setup.
He said he took it off to sell the GT and get a shelby, has around 5000 miles on the kit, everything is complete with a few upgrades to the kit as followed;
Seller quotes:
"It's a great kit, the power feels really nice. No issues at all, and also upgraded the throttle body to single big Gunn tb, and coolant reservoir to the moroso aluminum tank. Gt500 h/e. 40lb injectors. All hoses, clamps, bolts are there. Custom 4" cold air intake nicely powder coated too."
And for an extra 300 he states "I have a slightly used dual pass afco heat exchanger to throw in." <--- I have no idea what that is...
Let me know if this is a worthwhile kit to purchase.
Thank you,
Uncle Buck

Seems like an ok price but not a steal IMO. Not a fan of BAPs but lots of folks run them. I'd get a bigger pump. The AFCO is a good upgrade but you could probably find 13/14 Shelby for less and be happy. FYI, it's the little rad that mounts to the bumper to cool the intercooler. I have a stock HE from an 08 Gt500. It's yours for $75 if you want it.
For the same kind of money you could get a stage 3 DOB and get every nut and bolt including a fuel pump plus great personal support from DOB and a forum if you have any troubles. You could even go get it and save shipping since DOB is just outside Detroiit. Just a thought.

I looked at a few KB. Nice kits. I have not heard great things about support though. I have a DOB stage 3 and no regrets. All parts are GT500 and they are readily available. I'm making 493 rwhp at 11 psi. A little past thw recommended limit, but so far so good. When I go forged, I am tossing on a smaller pulley, aggressive tune and will be good for 600. Email Jason at DOB, he is a great guy and will piece together whatever you want. Let me know if you want to test drive mine and we can arrange .

I don't think I've ever seen a thread with so many abbreviations.
I better go back to the NA thread.

after lots of decision making and research.
The m90 kit will be best suited for me.
I don't plan on building this motor nor spending more on getting it any faster.
Next step after the supercharger would be going to a 5.0 and building grounds with it.

I have a spare 2008 GT500 heat exchanger. Might be the same size as the Roush but if it's bigger and you want it, it's yours for $80
