I have the 2011 V6 and wanted to know about simple bolt on items that would increase power.. Any suggestions?

What trans. and what gears are in it? While it won't increase the power, a gear change will make it feel like there was an increase. Other than that, a cold air intake and a tune are probably your most common, unless you have a large bank account and want to go forced induction.

This.

Have seen a few really nice examples of turbo'ed or supercharged 6's. But my issue with doing all that work is you end up with the same power and money in a car that a GT would have cost.

Tune + new driveshaft. Only do tune with new shaft in place. Just had the second exploded one of the season in the shop.

Gears are best value for the money for sure, I have heard the v6s do not pick up much with different intakes etc

Great point about the drive shaft. That was certainly an eye opener.

What does a tune have to do with the driveshaft? Wouldn't that only matter if the speed limiter was disabled and/or gears installed?

Cause almost everyone has the limiter upped or shut off.

Gotcha. Was wondering if there was a different reason. Looking at a tune/gears for my wife's V6....don't think the driveshaft issue is a concern. (Probably going to 3.31 gears, which are the factory option)
