My friend just updated his website with some new progress on his SA-10 build. He found some original and date stamped Edelbrock heads that are correct for his car.

He is the owner of what he is calling "Almost 4", the car that was bought and spec'd to be #4 of the 10 Saleen SA-10 10th Year Anniversary cars built in 1993. Each was custom spec'd and sent to Saleen for their assembly. Build #6 was skipped (same as all years of Saleens) and so the SA-10s were cars 01 through to 11. However, before assembly the owner of SA-10 #04 dropped out and had their deposit returned. The car was never completed and was later sold. Years later, my friend tracked down the car by its VIN and bought it. Then through some connections and friendships with Steve Saleen and members of the Saleen community, he has gradually been able to source original parts and he is personally completing the SA-10 build that 'almost' happened back in 1993.

He has created this website and has been updating it over the years. For those that like Saleens, SA-10s or just like a cool car story, have a look at the link below ...

That's a cool project he has going. I sold him one of the old FMS brake prop valves I had for my Fox project when I ended up with two of them. If he had told me at the time what the project was, I would have sold him the one that was new in the box rather than the slightly dirty used one!

Good to see that he has had some time to make a bit more progress on it.

cheers

That is a cool story any real car would love. Being a mustang makes it that much better. Can wait to see more .

You bastard! I'll be sure to tell him when I see him in July!!! lmao

He had to put the project on hold for a while but it is back active again. I can't wait to see it if he has it out later this summer at the Nationals in Akron, OH.

Nice Story! Love the Saleens. I should have bought that T-Top #115 a few years ago...

Did anyone catch the story of this car during coverage of the Barrett Jackson?

I'm trying to get a link that I can post in a forum. maybe 2-3 minutes of air time between cars. basically the same info that I put in the first post here.
