I can't find a 87 notch for sale...

I started to see what it would take to replace my notch as I plan on getting it appraised for a 19A policy and I don't want to be in a situation where I have just 8 grand to replace my current notch and be in a crappy situation of not being able to get what I had. I figured a decent budget for a clean stock notch with around 100,000km is around 8500. I mean factory 5.0L / 5-speed. Nothing on autotrader.com (all of USA), nothing on Kijiji Canada... Must be 87 only not to get stuck with emissions testing and crap, also don't want airbag steering wheel on the 90+.

Almost 4k asking for near 300,000km????

Search craigslist, there's also a site called craigshelper or something so you can search all of the us or Canada. But IMO your pricing is off, for a clean notch with under $100k you'll be around $12k I'd say. Also you needn't worry about emissions testing, you'll need to be running non-legal parts or have a terrible running car to fail the test.
Why not just do lant or haggerty for insurance? You set an agreed-upon value, that way you have no worries.

yeah I'm going with custom wheel or whatever for sure. I just want to make sure I won't get hosed by the appraiser if I do my research I'll have some idea of what to talk about.

^Agreed, any decent appraiser will usually confer with you before putting a value, the one I use used to just ask me what I wanted it appraised at.
