Mach 1 exhaust

Looking for a catback and catted mid-pipe for my 04 Mach 1. Looking for good sound, not too loud. I'm stock right now but will be putting a tune on it in the spring when I take it out of storage.

What is everyone's opinion on a good setup for my car?

I really like my magnflow x and cat back on my cobra,loud at the right time ,quite when just driving around

Some options:

1 - Stock H Pipe + SLP LM Catback

2 - SLP Catted X + SLP LM II Catback

3 - BBK Catted H + SLP LM II Catback

4 - SLP Catted X + SLP LM Catback

5 - BBK Catted H + SLP LM Catback


First option will be a little louder than the others but nothing ridiculous

2nd and 3rd option will be the difference in tone, the X pipe will give you a slightly higher tone (more exotic) if you will while the H will be a lower and deeper tone, both of which sound great on the 4v cars, just comes down to personal preference


options 4 and 5 will be similar to 2 and 3 but on a much, much larger scale in terms of volume, probably not for you if your goal is to keep the volume moderate


I have two Mach 1's and have had all these combo's between them

I've also SLP X + SLP LM Catback and SLP X + LM II Catback set ups (track use only) and these are again on a whole other level as far as volume!

I should mention that both my cars have Long Tube Headers as well, so you could expect yours to be even a little tamer still...but still moderately aggressive for sure!

That sounds badass! The cam and the headers definitely add a different sound though. I've looked an tons of YouTube videos and can't decide.
