Hey guys,

It is the first winter for my 2015 Mustang GT. I want to get some ideas from you guys about the winter tire and rims. Where do you guys usually buy the tires and rims from? Actually I just got a quote from one guy in Costco, he told me that it will cost me $945 All In for the 235/55 R17 tire, the brand of which is Bridgestone Blizzard.

I am new to this forum. It is actually my first thread. If you see a grey Mustang GT in Mississauga area, please feel free to say hi.

Blizzak is a great choice. Seems like a reasonable price too.
Out in the west end, you can check out Bramalea Tire in Brampton. Great service, and they love Mustangs.

Here in Markham, Joy City is a great choice, or Brandon Tire.

Will 17s clear the brakes on a 15? They are pretty big and I know 4 piston brembo from earlier gens that most 18s don't fit and you have to go to 19"

Hey thanks for your reply. I just checked Bramalea Tire's website and I ran a search by car but I could not find "Mustang" in the model field.....

Did I do anything wrong?

Thanks.

DO you choose steel rim or alloy wheels? Also, in pressure sensors, is there a brand of choice or just whatever?...

Hey mine is 18'' ... Are you saying that 17'' won't fit?.. Get confused here

2015 Mustang GT base brakes are 14" rotors with 4-piston calipers. 17" won't clear, and a lot of 18" won't either. You'll need alloys with enough clearance for the calipers, steel wheels aren't going to clear.

If you like, I will price out a package for you through Parkway Ford, we are one of the site sponsors.

I got my Winter tires mounted on some 18" MSR wheels from Pickering Tire and Mag. Steelies won't go over Brembo brakes.

if you're going to buy snows, buy good ones. You won't regret Nokians, they're the best.

My best winter car ever as far as control was my 88 mustang with Nokian Hakapolitas.

You could probably get by with all seasons 80% of the time, but that remaining 20% you'll need control.

I was caught in the middle of a 15 car pile up at 100 km/hr in a snow storm as it was happening and literally threaded my way through is unscathed. My police officer gf (in the passenger seat) at the time couldn't stop talking about it with her tribe for the rest of the season. I credit the tires.

So Nokian is better?... Well noted. I thought Bridgestone is very close to Alpha
