Need some help boys. I cant take the drone in my fox. Stock motor with some bolt on's stick with 4.10s car has longtubes h pipe with cats and 3" flowmaster cat back.. I've been reading up on dynomax vts mufflers. Anyone use them.. Thanks

My buddy put a VT on his F150; it's brutal; especially towing.

The factory put two different sized mufflers on Foxes for a reason. I have 1.75" full length BBK's with 3" collectors, 3" hi flow spun metal cats, 3" X pipe, 3" flow tubes necked down to two slightly different 2.5" Magnaflow mufflers and tailpipes. As quiet as my living room cruising at 50 mph in 4th or 5th with a 3.73 rear end.
Car makes 444 rwhp on dynojet, so there is some serious air flow potential.

373 gears, bbk 1" 5/8 long tubes, h pipe w/ cats and flowmaster 10's

The only drone I get is at 2000-2200 rpm

^^ What magnaflow muffler do you have on your car.

One side is the recommended 2.5" for a Fox, the other side has different inlet location and is about 1" shorter. No Idea which model, but you can surf around on the Magnaflow or other mfrs websites and see the selection based on the size the Fox has room for. Main thing is to not use the same one side to side.

i have stock motor, BBK LT, BBK catted X-pipe and flowmaster super 44's with 3 inch tips...almost no drone at all and sounds nice. I think it is the xpipe that gets rid of the drone and proper installation of the mufflers. Hot Rod Scott did mine, very happy with it.

Flows are horrible for drone, they also don't flow near as well as any of the straight-through mufflers, but yes, an x-pipe will help if you want to keep them, it will change the sound to more high-pitched than low and rumbly.

I have Magnaflows as well and they're pretty good. Still some drone, but with windows up you don't notice it all. Windows down you hear it around 80k or 1800-2000 RPM with 3.55 gears. It's not annoying just different from any other speed.
The Flowmasters I used to have, used to give me a headache.
