Or does anybody have a square they can spare?

I want to stick some on the corners of the gas tank where the tailpipe comes close to it.

What about a muffler/exhaust shop, maybe they would have some.

How about a heat shield tacked to the exhaust pipe Don? If possible, install with at least a slight air gap between most of it and the pipe.
