Driveshaft that is :) picked up a used steel shaft, installed it and as the new suspension is settling , it's rubbing the e brake cables hard . My other 95 that sits lower doesn't rub ?

How big are factory GT shafts? I am wondering if mine is from a 6cyl car or something. It start off at like 3" around at the yokes and then expands to like a 5" shaft for the rest .

It was my understanding that this is an issue on cars with aluminum shafts because there larger diameter .

What material would be the strongest to have a custom shaft made that's much smaller around? Can't stand the noise but I'd like to keep my e brake

Wouldn't moving/adjusting the location of the e-brake cable be easier/cheaper than a custom exotic material driveshaft?

It's like the shoe doesn't fit. Should I get a new foot?

Edit: re-reading the thread title, I don't even know why I opened it.

There isn't a lot of room to manipulate the e brake cables

In most cases, can nick the bottom of the bracket off a tic or two.

i just swapped out the one from my other mustang...significantly smalled diameter.
