Im running magnaflow catted x pipe and borla stingers. No issues with the cops so far.

Stock manifolds, Magnaflow catted X-pipe and Flowmasters. There are days when the Dronemasters drive me bonkers, but for the most part they are good. I've been told it has a good sound to it.

I'm running Corsa Sports and I couldn't be happier...... Absolutely NO drone, cars pretty tame until you step on it then she opens up pretty good. Getting a Magnaflow catted xpipe installed tomorrow, I'll post video after the install, in the mean time here's the Corsa Sport axle back on there own.......

Full magnaflow setup, no resonators. It does sounds nice to me when you hammer the throttle, but would like to go louder

To be honest, I don't know. The Flows were on the car when I got it. I added the x-pipe later.

American Racing Header long tubes with their catted X-Pipe and Magnaflow 3" exhaust with Magnapacks. Way to much drone! No trouble with the law so far (touch wood) but I pretty much drive like a citizen.

Ford Racing short headers, stock mid, borla tourings, quiet but great sound, and then borla S-type -louder with amazing burble
tourings had no drone, s-type with my combo seems to have some
Plan this year is to switch Al back to the tourings and change to a x pipe like he has

Stock manifolds here with a BBK catted x pipe and Borla touring mufflers from Nick. No drone at all with a nice quality deep tone. Quiet enough to live with everyday and loud enough to make you grin when you get on it. As Nick mentioned above I had the S types before. With my set up they had a little drone in 5th at 1800 rpm but for the most part a nice aggressive tone and a very cool burble. Both setups were winners IMO

I'm running Ford Racing Shorties, Bassani Catted X-Pipe, out into Ford Racing Touring Mufflers (Borla Touring). I love the sound, debating on deleting the cats, or just changing the mufflers out to the S type or ATAK.

I've got Ford Racing FR500 axle backs on Boomer. IMO they are the best choice for the 3V they sound very deep and throaty at idle but man, do they ever roar on WOT and no drone anywhere in the rev band. Nicely finished too, black powder coat.

Hey Nick, yes I'm running a stock system to the FR 500's. You would have heard them if the weather had held for the fall cruise to Elora! It rained on the day I was able to go. We should be able to meet sometime this season.

Would resonator help reduce the drone? but keep the beast roaring at 3k rpm and above?

hmmm, yeah doesn't really sound like there is much you can do exhaust wise to fix the drone your not liking...your pretty much restricted up as much as your going to get without adding shit to it and I don't think you want to start messing with that anyways...

just an FYI I resonator can increase the sound...so be careful what you looking for, that's one of the reasons my exhaust is louder than say the same Mustang with just straight pipes...the LM's are classified as resonators, not mufflers

Everything I read years ago on S197Forum said Resonators cut down drone on the 05-09 cars. Used to be a huge complaint. Maybe that's why they're OEM on the 10-14 cars.

Welding in some 12-14 inch vibrant resonators or pypes m80s has been done on several s197s and it apparently cuts down drone quite a bit but not always. The important thing if doing that is to space the resonators differently so that you have them at different lengths
