Thinking of upgrading my trans to a magnum if there is any value left in my factory unit. I would let everything from the alum flywheel and clutch to the out put shaft. trans only has 28 000 kms on it and has a new mgw sitting on top.
Any idea what this set up from a 03 cobra would be worth as a package? never looked in to the value of these in the past.

I'll buy the MGW from you.
FWIW its worth I paid $500 USD for my t56 and flywheel combo. So probably 750-1000 would be my guess on range.

That's all they are worth. ... Damn not worth selling it then. I got more than double that on my c4. Even my new clutch set up doubles that value And I still don't have all the pieces to finish the job.

I would consider buy it as a package. For an older 5.0 swap I would have no use for bell housing or flywheel. But take it
I have a magnum in my cobra with a quicktime bell (those are awesome btw straight and near perfect IMO), it is a nice unit.
You could upgrade your existing to magnum specs but the cost just buy a new one
Last two I bought, paid $1200 for one, $1400 for the second. Both low mileage zero issues.

T-56's have gone up in price. I paid 1300 for mine 16,000 mile trans (included drive shaft). Chev T-56's are going for 200+, Ford T-56's are going for $1500ish.

WTF, guess I got a deal. My 20,000 mile unit was $500 all in and had two shifter setups, the cobra flywheel, the boot and hardware, stock clutch and cables.

Huge dineros to do a T5 to T56 Magnum in a Fox; if you buy everything new, it will cost over $ 6000 without labour; minus what you sell your old stuff for.
The Magnum Trans is $ 3000 USD alone. Will also need a 26 spline clutch disc/ setup since that is one of the key areas of improvement over the standard T56 and why the Magnum is rated at 700 lb ft.
Just depends on your wants, needs and budget is all. Unless you need or just plain really want a 6spd, TKO swap makes more sense in a Fox.

i want to upgrade my t45 to a T56
When I finally decided on a clutch for mine, will be upgrading to 26 spline input shaft.

Wow t-56's have come down quite a bit
Since I last looked
I would buy one in the 12-1400 range as long as it was in good shape
So if anyone knows of one let me know
Also if anyone knows of a good price on a GM t-56 again let me know

The input shaft is what my issue is now, the 26 spline upgrade has been on back order for about 6 months now and I have a mcloed 26 spline rxt waiting for the shaft. Makes no sense for me to put another 10 spline clutch in it as I have been waiting to turn the boost up but didnt want to damage the 10 spline.
My choices are super limited to either wait it out to a unknown time or just do a magnum swap and move on with enjoying the car again.

At least two different mfgs, have you shopped around for it or tried ebay?

Been everywhere. Even in contact with tremec themselves. D and d have 100 units on back order. Been a real chase ti find one. A shop in Dallas is machining then now out of Chevy shafts which maybe my only resort. Liberty is out of stock aswell but they weld theirs together and that is a no go for me.

Can't wait to long as the stock clutch doesn't stand a chance against the big kenne bell. Running a pie dish pulley now just buying time

Sounds like a great excuse to buy new .... I wonder if thats the grand scheme?
I'm 585 at the tire on stock clutch.

I will hit mid 6 00's once I pulley it To 18-19 psi. If I get on it in first, have to adjust the clutch after at 15 psi so it is a limited time deal
At 565 whp my clutch was fine with holding the power.
I've got a couple of guys out there at mid 600's on stock clutch. No idea why they hold up so well but it's cool that they do.
