Is it too busy, look good? What if the tail lights were different
I am bored and not a fan of the stock tail lights and rear end on my car, I found a picture with the 203 style lights and black out panel, changed his car colors to mine (was originally yellow car with black stripes which looked hot)

this is the only pick I could find of it now (in process pic of installing gt500 spoiler)

That one looks too busy to me, but you're looks pretty plain by comparison. If you asking which looks better-the first one by far.

Black out and lights, like it myself. Makes the rear end look wider n trims some of the bulk.

Can't say I really like the cheap plastic fake honeycomb look. Much prefer the second cleaner looking pic. Looks more like an original Mustang to me.

I like the spoiler, and the black panel. but not the honeycomb. Check with Stephen06GT about the panel that he has. Blacks everything out, but a bit more subtle vs the honeycomb.

Nick, I removed my old magnetic blackout panel and had the trunk lid wrapped. That being said, I still have the panel and it's available if you want to see what it looks like on your car.

Here's Ol Paint with the magnetic panel:

and with the wrap:

Nick, I like the first one but I am clearly very biased! The honeycomb is not for everyone but in my case I feel it ties in with the front honeycomb grille and CS lower grille.

Forgot to mention the rear honeycomb is a real pain to keep clean. Another factor to consider!

I like the black out and knew I was too lazy to keep the honey comb version clean. As for the lights, I prefer the stockers since they remind me of the 69 style the most.

First one looks like it's trying too hard.
Second one looks nice and simple.
Somewhere inbetween, like a nice blackout panel that is smooth (prefer matte over glossy), a lip spoiler, maybe even checkout one of those duck style or matte black ones.
Have fun, make it yours and enjoy it!

Wow a lot more feedback then anticipated.
I currently have the gt500 spoiler as in the picture, didn't have a chance to get it striped prior to putting it away.
I love the look of the blackout panels but thought it would be too busy, if I were to choose one I would probably not go the honey comb and may get the line that deletes the fake gas cap as well.
Stephan I would love to borrow and possibly buy your magnetic one. That would be the best way to see if it looks good.
Scott, you know your car is always an inspiration for my mods lol, just no more airlift talk

First off impressive photoshop, seconly I like the taillights but without other black accents I'd leave the panel off. With the stripes it adds a bit too much to the car.

I think I agree without the lights being dark it will look off, I dont know about the 2013 style lights but even tinted stock look or the tinted 2011 style ones look good.
Real test will be when I borrow Stephan's magnetic panel, either that or some plastidip

If I don't see you before then, I'll bring it to track day. If you like it, you can buy me lunch and it's yours.

Here's another idea. Stock tinted lights with painted "gas cap" and blackout panel. I used spay tint and only a light coat to keep from being hassled by the police.

I like the look of those tinted lights with the black out panel like Stephens.
A rear diffuser like what The MustangShow got would look killer as well, or even the GT/CS diffuser.

Nick the blackout panel looks good, breaks up the stripe in a good way.

+1 on blacking out the "gas" cap. Have you consider a light tint on the tail lights Stephen? I think it would tie the whole black theme you have going on.

Yes, tinted tails with the reverse light left clear looks stunning. My 06 was like that.

However I left the faux gas cap Chrome. Looks like a misplaced lump when blacked out on a black car. However looks REALLY GOOD blacked out on any other colour.

I need Armen to do some photo enhancements to see if I would like the tinted lights.

Not a fan of 2013-2014 "style" tail lights on an other car besides a 2013-2014. Reminiscent of when Audi came out with LED day time running lights.

The blacked out "gas" cap is next on my list of things to do.

Easy to do. I painted it right on the car. Careful scuffing with 600 grit and some newspaper and masking tape. Took a little while to mask the "GT" in the center but wasn't to bad. Put tape on it and use an Xacto knife to cut around the letters. I used satin black paint. a couple of light coats.
