For a 351W roller block. What camshaft would be good for a street driven car?
Like duration and lift. I know if supercharging a 114 LS would be better the 112 LS.
But how about duration and lift for air supply.
Thanks for any advice.

Need the rest of the combo and intended use.

Intended use is street driving. Occasional time down the strip.
TFS twisted wedge heads. 1.6 RR. Stock crank. H beam rods. Wiseco pistons.

Compression + intake?
Stock stroke?

Yes stock stroke. 8.2 compression. Supercharger maybe down the road. Cobra intake.
Thanks Slope.

8.2 compression!?
Really?

I'm pretty sure. Let me check. But I am almost 99 percent.

9.1 is the compression.

that 1% will bite you in the azz every time...
on a more serious note...I would put the venerable "F" cam in there
NO!...they are not the absolute best...but they are good...& were designed for SCs & boost
they also work very well with turbos...nice thing is you can likely pick one up
used for a very reasonable price

+1 Having the bigger Cubes will make this cam feel like a stocker. You might even get away with the Zcam not sure about emissions though

Based on this and the above, I'd be looking into a Comp Cams 270HR.
Either that or an XFI stroker (347c.i.) cam. 236HR would fit the bill.
I'd also try and put something on there other than the Cobra intake. If you were boosting right off the hop, it wouldn't matter so much. With N/A & low compression, the party will be over sooner than you expect.

Thank you everyone.
Was thinking about this cam from comp cams. NX282HR-14. But really don't want to get into a new piston. Only reason I looked at that cam was because of a recommendation.
Will check the F and Z cam out.

Cobra intake
Almost a waste of time on a 351. It wont be able to keep up with the heads and it too small for anything than a 260 HP stockish 302. Cam choice is basically saying where you want the HP/TQ to work at a given RPM. Your probably choking 30-40 HP out of the combo.

Thanks speed. So if superchargering the combo - cobra intake should do? It's kind of a special piece. That's why I'd like to keep the intake.

your main concern will be piston to valve clearance
no matter what anybody tells you will clear or not clear...you MUST always check
btw the intake will be fine on a SC 351...maybe not the best but ok
