A couple of years ago I purchased a built TR3650 as part of a group of parts. The seller claimed it was built with upgraded components and it had a tranny dyno sticker on it claiming a rating up to 750. The TR3650 operates really well in the 99 GT now but I'm planing a build that should come close to doubling the HP & TQ. I noticed the tranny only has a 10 spline input shaft. From the little research I have done it seems like 10 spline are okay up to about 500 and above that an upgraded 26 spline should be used. Who's pushing what kind of power with a 10 spline....& what is a safe level keeping in mind it will need to endure drag strip abuse.

If you are going to go through all the trouble...why not step up to a T-56 or a TKO600?

That's the plan now I guess. An upgrade to a 26 spline will cost around $500 so I'll be part way there at that point. The only debate now is should I go with a built auto with a shift kit?

if you are running turbo's and going to drag race it....then i see no other option.

Stick with a anti-lag system has been used to spool it up fast and allow for good torque off the line.

with the turbos, you won't be able to run consistent times....until you get a lot of seat time in the car.....
If primary focus is the strip and consistency, auto is def the way to go.

^^^ been telling him ;P
With any luck, message received. ;)
On the flip side, some do like to pull gears regardless of consistency or not.

Having to row the gears is half the fun & challenge. I guess and auto with a shift kit would be fun but what would I do with my left foot? :)

That's why you should keep everything.......and put it in the Mach1 chassis.
One car for strip, one for street.

Leave the 99 alone , spray it later .
Let's build the mach1 to kick ass NEXT year not 2016 .

speaking of trans experts, last year at the strip I noticed I had issue getting into 3rd at high rpm, Im thinking syncro maybe, anyone have any recommendations?
Andrew you know auto will get you the better time but what's more fun to you, if you're not competing and are still going to street drive it I would stay stick...
