Really, I can tell you never had any pads on...it's no "Joke"

The TFC is a joke...LOL...it may be the worst Franchise of any sport in North America, they are an international embarrassment, whereas the Toronto Argonauts are the OLDEST Pro Sports Team in North America with great history, players and Championships, they just haven't had a place to plays for decades.

It was a joke to begin with that the Taxpayers paid for that BMO Stadium and now MLSE control it?

As for the CFL, come to a game, bigger field, 1 less down, less rules to protect the Q.
It's great FOOTBALL, but then again, all FOOTBALL games are great. :)

MLSE can go suck a bag of dicks if they expect the taxpayers to dish out for these renovations just so they can accommodate the Argos. Asking the already financially strapped City of Toronto for $10 Million and $120 Million from Premiere Two Moms and the Provincial Libtards. No to the Argos and MLSE.

Where'd you get those Financing figures? MLSE are planning to ask HorseHead for only $10 MILLION. That's less than they blew trying to get that IT company to delete all their emails the OPP are looking for

The TFC is a super young franchise.. how can you say they are a joke? Fuck the leafs sell out every damn game and havent won shit in what 50 years? Now thats a JOKE! but hey they make money...

Why does Canada need the CFL? You have the NFL.. then you have the rest. There isnt a need for the CFL in my opinion.

There IS a need for the MLS tho.. about time north america woke the fuck up and realized that the most played sport in the world is actually pretty entertaining.

You are entitled to your opinion but the CFL is not the NFL, they are different games, there is even one more player on the field for the each team with CFL rules and we invented the game, it is part of our Canadian heritage. The NFL also funds the CFL too, as now it is used as a pseudo development league for them now and we do not have the NFL, as we do not have an NFL team and we are NOT getting an NFL team.

The Bills in Toronto Series was a Joke and has been cancelled, so for now, we have the Arrrrrgooos and you should really go to a game, great Football and a fairly cheap ticket. Further, the Grey Cup Game is still the most watched yearly Canadian sporting event, http://www.newswire.ca/en/story/1282887/tv-top-10-what-canadians-watched-in-2013 so the league is still relevant to many.

All players and Coaches love all Pro Football League as there are very few opportunities for players to GET PAID to play Football, it is not a sport like soccer where there are 1000's of leagues around the world to get paid to play.

Hey, I like soccer too, but really only pay attention to the EPL, UEFA and WC, the MLS is a joke and has been for years as it is not Elite. TFC have not even been able to compete, but hopefully that will change as they did spent a boatload on some good players and out country as a whole, is pathetic for soccer, save out girls, who are World Class, our men have not made the WORLD Cup since 1986, that is embarrassing considering, Canada's population, how many play the sport and how much money is poured into community soccer, it shows that we do not have the coaching here to make soccer player elite, yet we constantly produce, NBA Players, NHL Hockey Players, NFL Players, CFL Players and MLB Players.

Well what a great day today, we had over 80 new kids come out to our skills camp, the parking lot was packed and one parent brought his Old School TARGA, one with no water in the Mill.

For our SuperSaturday open house, we shut down practices and have a few of our players that play in the three youngest age groups, Adam, PeeWee and Bantam help the newcomers in addtion to our Coaching Staff. This is one of my favourite days of the year
what you see a kid try something new and LOVE IT!

We alos got some help from our most famous Markham Raider, Shamawd Chambers the WR from the Edmonton Eskimos, who when in town, always gives back to the Organization that gave him his start. There are only about 2500 men in the World, that get a Paycheque to play Pro Football and he's one of them!

Chambers posed with my middle boy and my youngest, the big boy could not make it, he was breaking in some gloves at a scheduled scrimmage between the WLU Golden Hawks and Guelph U, which evidently featured a bench clearing brawl, which is 100% retard, as you can't have much of a fight in pads and a helmet.

On the field today for 8:30am with my middle son @ the Hersey Centre for another SuperElite Football camp.

Great turnout for the early camp, older players work out in the afternoon, the mornings are for the younger players and they were eager today as most of their opponents
were still asleep in their beds while they were running routes!

It is great so many of the Pros come out to help with the young player and it was special to see this man...^^ Coach Rainford, a legendary Quarterback Coach that has worked with many CIS, NCAA Teams, the Chicago Bears and the SF 49ers and speaking of the 49ers; it was 19 years ago today that the greatest Playoff QB in the history of Football, decided to hang up his cleats and that player was named JOE COOL!

How about this one...

The team that became infamous last season for allegedly fostering an unforgiving locker room environment reacted swiftly Sunday in the face of controversial comments from a player on social media.

The Miami Dolphins fined safety Don Jones and barred him from organized team activities until he completes educational therapy after he made never comments following Michael Sam's selection and subsequent televised reaction.

Sam, the first openly gay player drafted by an NFL team, was seen Saturday kissing his boyfriend after he was chosen in the seventh round by the St. Louis Rams.

Jones tweeted "OMG" and then "Horrible."

In a statement issued Sunday night by the Dolphins, Jones said, "I want to apologize to Michael Sam for the inappropriate comments that I made last night on social media. I take full responsibility for them and I regret that these tweets took away from his draft moment.

Felt a similar reaction when the Nascar announcers went on and on and on about Danica being the first women to achieve that finishing position since blah blah blah. I don't care, saw a racer named Danica finish in position X and to me thats that.

Hey Jt, as a football dad, curious to hear your thoughts about Michael Sam getting drafted to the Rams?

Good for the sport, bad for the sport, makes no difference to the sport as long as he can play the sport...? What say you?

Interesting you brought this up as my wife and I were talking about it yesterday.

In regards to SAM and his sexuality, it really is none of my business. I admire that he came out and chooses to live his life the way he feels, rather than pretend to be something he's not and then 10 years later after his career is over, dump his wife and announce he is gay. I'm no expert, but I think you're born gay, you don't become gay.

As for his announcement, I think his timing to do it is opportune, Roger Goodell, the Commissioner fo the NFL, has an openly Gay brother and has a mandate to propel the NFL's popularity into new markets and an openly gay payer could do that.

From a former Players point of view, things are a little more complicated and the NFL is just not talking about it. The Locker Room is a place that is Run by the Players, so I'm not sure what will happen.
Football Players, as a whole, are not the most progressive and sensitive group, but if Sam can help the team Win, I don't think there will be any issues, if players feel Sam is on the roster because he is Gay and not because of his play, there may be issues with his Teammates.

From a Coaches Point of View; if Sam could contribute, I'd play him.

A couple of things I didn't like about the circus around the draft is I did not like SAM's criticism as to where he went in the Draft.
He had a good NCAA career but he is undersized for the D-Line by NFL standards at 6'2" and 255, so I would not have been surprised if he was not drafted and was given tryouts as a Free Agent. He was never a sure thing due to his size and I think he was insinuating he went lower, because he was gay and I don't think that was the case at all.

To put things in Perspective as to how incredibly talented you have to be to play PRO FOOTBALL...of all the kids that play FOOTBALL, about 3% go on to play at the University of College Level of those players that play about 4% of all of those players will make it to the NFL and CFL DRAFTS and only of those only a fraction will make teams and have careers. Pro Hockey and Pro Football are probably the most difficult ways to make a living in the Sports World as a pro.

I wish him all the best getting Drafted does not mean he will make the Roster.

It is also important to note in this years 2014 NFL Draft that a record number of 4 Canadians were drafted by NFL Teams! :clap2:

That said, there is an inherent risk to playing any contact sport, the thing I have a problem with, is how the NFL refused to help older players that were having health issues.
If they had have helped those players out, they probably would not have this litigation, which is going to cost them a lot more than voluntarily helping out players with their medical expenses and fair, viable pensions.

Beloved, superstar, HOF players jumping on board this is Goodell's worst nightmare.

Kapernick signs new deal...

Technically, the deal has $61 million guaranteed, even though $6 million of the guaranteed salary could evaporate (more on that later). Either way, only $13.073 million is guaranteed at signing. It comes in the form of a $12.328 million signing bonus, a base salary of $645,000, and a workout bonus of $100,000.

For 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and part of 2018, the base salaries are guaranteed only for injury. On April 1 of each year, the guarantees convert from injury only to fully guaranteed. That gives the 49ers the ability to decide, in any given year, to move on from Kaepernick. And with the deadline for the conversion of the guarantee coming on April 1, the 49ers can squat on his rights until several weeks after the start of free agency, making it harder for him to get paid elsewhere.

As one source put it, Kaepernick can feel good about the deal because he has a lot more guaranteed money today than he had yesterday. But the same source also added that the 49ers are nevertheless “thrilled” with the contract, which allows them to control Kaepernick’s rights for seven years and to move on after any of the next six seasons, if they ultimately decide that Kaepernick is more like the guy who struggled at times during the 2013 regular season and less like the guy who found the gas pedal in the playoffs.

Well, FALL FOOTBALL Practice starts tonight! Unbelievable, when the OVFL Summer League Championships Games will not be played until this coming weekend! He is super stoked!

Going to be a great year of FALL BALL as this year, for the first time, all my three sons will be in action, my youngest boy will attend his very first FOOTBALL practice tonight!

He also is still playing Markham Basketball and his Unionville soccer team is undefeated and in the playoffs, so for a few more weeks he will be uberbusy until BBall and Soccer finish.

Team Breakfast was followed by Locker Assigment, Physicals, Drug Testing and Equipment Fitting and Meetings.

Great day Saturday (Aug 23) at McMaster U.

The MAC Marauders invited the Laurier GOLDEN HAWKS for a pre season scrimmage.

NIKE provide the hospitality and it was a well run event.

A variety of drills, some half field, then full field 12 Offensive plays followed by 2 Punts for one team and then 12 for the other, etc.

Full contact, save the QBs they were spared, if the pocket collapsed there was a quick whistle.

My oldest son wore number 3 today and played great!

The Golden Hawks game opener is a week Monday!

What a facility Mac's stadium is. Ron Joyce (Tim Hortons) has helped MAC out so much over the years and gave $10 Million to build the McMaster Stadium.

He is an staunch supporter of Football and a great Canadian.

Took my middle boy down to see his Bro's Team last night. The Golden Hawks opened their season on the road against the UofT Varsity Blues, one of the oldest Football Teams in the World.

We knew my oldest boy, who's a Rookie, would not dress and would be on the sidelines this game, so Mrs. TMS stayed home and took our youngest to his practice.

Anyway, what a fantastic night for Football, with a great result for the Golden Hawks with a 53-17 dismantling of the Varsity Blues, that included a record setting rushing performance by Laurier Running back Dillon Campbell rolling for an incredible 293 yards! The University of Toronto billed this as The FROSH BOWL and put on a great event, selling out the stadium with over 4500 in attendance.

My youngest Son finally got to take to the Gridiron this Fall, he's 9 now and was so stoked to follow in his Big Brothers footsteps. He told me his very first practice, that he will be a better player than his older Bros...LOL
He's off to a good start, playing Inside LB and Special Teams and with the first two games on the road, the ATOM �� RAIDERS are still undefeated, the first game was a 25-0 SLAP over Scarborough and last Saturday, he recovered a fumble late in the 4th to help eek out a 12-12 tie with Oshawa. Proud of this boy, nose for the ball and hits hard.

Spent the afternoon today out at Western's Practice Facility, BMO Centre in London, which is as impressive as the Buffalo Bills Practice one beside The Ralph, just amazing that Western has this, it's twice the size of the Laurier's Indoor Facility.

Long road trip this weekend for the TORONTO THUNDER JVs, all the way to Ottawa to play our last regular season game against the Cumberland PANTHERS.

Day got off to a poor start with a few players showing up late for the 7am Bus, which meant only one stop, instead of two, all the way to Millennium Field in Ottawa.

Things didn't get much better when the game started, Thunder Offense just could not get anything going, but the Hard-Hitting D, kept us in the game, but late in the 4th QTR, the team was down
4-0 and it looked like we were going to lose by a "Hockey Score", MISS the Playoffs and have a long, grim bus ride home.

Kiondre's epic Pick 6 ended the PANTHERS season and pushed the TORONTO THUNDER Varsity Juniors into the OVFL Playoffs with a 7-4 WIN!
Great win for these boys, who have been had some real adversity this season, including losing our Starting Q after the 1st game of the season and a few suspensions to weather too, but the team DID NOT GIVE UP and finish 5-3 and head to the PLAYOFFS!

Apple doesn't far from the tree, Kiondre is (Three Time Grey Cup Champ) Adrion Smith's kid.

On another note after us the 6-1, Toronto THUNDER Seniors suited up and SLAPPED 44-0 the Cumberland Seniors and finish 7-1 and head into the playoffs as the #1 SEED with a bye and a HOME FIELD!

The CFC Game of the Week will take place at Beckwith Recreation Park, Ottawa, as the 7-1 Myers Riders will host the (5-3) Toronto Thunder. The Bad News is The THUNDER JVs lost in Ottawa last weekend to the Myers Riders 35-14.
Hard to beat the defending CHAMPS on their Home Field and the MYERS Q (#7) is the League Standard, he's accurate, mobile and does not make mistakes, a great player with a bright future.

Proud of our team too, we lost our starting Q after Game 1 and we were not even expected to make the PLAYOFFS after that, but the team HIT HARD and PLAYED HARD and finished 5-3 with a Playoff Birth.

Thanks to all the Volunteers too, FOOTBALL is the biggest game there is, and ZERO Games, including The SUPERBOWL, would be played without dedicated Volunteers.

Then Good news is DRAKE, who is an incredible supporter of youth SPORT in Toronto, with his time and wallet, has invited the THUNDER FOOTBALL Team to his OVO Basketball Game today, which is really great for the kids.

Will be rolling it out to Montreal soon, oldest boy is in EXHIBITION action tomorrow, his WLU GOLDEN HAWKS are visiting the University of Montreal CARABINS.

This will be the 1st time these two legendary Teams have met since 1966 and there is ZERO love loss between any Quebec and Ontario Team, so even though it will be a Rookie filled Exhibition Game, the hits will be hard.

The OVFL FALL BALL Season is off to a good start, we took 3 THUNDER Teams into Oshawa to open the season and left with two wins.

The ATOMS WON!
The Pee Wees lost.
Bantams WON!

There was this highlight from the Pee Wee loss though.

You can teach a Spin Move in Football, but you can't Coach when to use it, Players are born with that.

After the Bantam Game non-game debacle, I was able to go to our home field in Scarborough and join Mrs. Mustangshow at our youngest son's Pee Wee game.
I would've missed this one if the Bantam Game went as scheduled, so there was a bit of a silver lining with the last minute cancellation.

Anyway, the PeeWees (11 and 12 year Olds) played great! The Defense was devastating, really laying the Lumber and the Offense was on fire!

My youngest (51) played his balls off, going both ways, playing Slot and Safety and was even in on some Special Teams. Hurt is hand on a tackle and needed the Trainer, but was just a bruise and only missed a few plays.

THUNDER wins 42-0 over the the York Region Lions from Newmarket and move to 4-3 on the Season.

Should be three great games and one thing about FOOTBALL is there is no Best of 5 or Best of 7, you have one GAME to execute or your Season is over.

I always thought that saying, "the agony of defeat", must have come from FOOTBALL, as losing in the Playoffs is abrupt and it hurts.

Thought this was very cool.

US College Football as Part of their Salute to American Veterans this week, will have players wear special Helmets for one game, that will honour all FIVE of the US Branches of their Military.

ARMY, NAVY, AF, MARINES and COAST GUARD.

THUNDER continue to ROLL with a 42-6 smashing of Oshawa, remain UNDEFEATED and will play the OVFL Bantam Championship game at York University Stadium this Saturday and will try for the PERFECT SEASON!

...then it was my Oldest son's GOLDENHAWKS Team in the YATES. I was getting updates on the field at my middle boy's Bantam Game on my phone and at the start of the 4th Qtr it was not looking good. The GOLDENHAWKS only loss in the reg season was to Western and they were down in the 4th and looking at a 16 consecutive loss to the Western Mustangs.

My middle son and I must of looked mental yellin' ad screamin' in the TRUCK. My Mom called and was going crazy too, Wifrid Laurier is her Alma Mater! The Wilfrid Laurier Goldenhawks are YATES CUP CHAMPS, they WIN Ontario and are one game away from Vanier Cup appearance.

Orlando wants to take Thunder to the next level and give our kids the best opportunities. Orlando’s immediate plan is to build a big indoor training facility in Scarborough, which will consist of an indoor turf field, a library, a basketball court, classrooms, pool table etc., which will be a safe haven for our Thunder kids. Orlando also plans to get enough land, so that he can build an outdoor purple turf field on the outside of the facility.

We have started Toronto THUNDER practices indoor at R.H. King CHS, my middle Son's Junior Varsity Teams look STRONG http://pix.iemoji.com/images/emoji/apple/ios-9/33/0567.png, lots of size and a good turnout, including 5 Quarterbacks trying out! We move outside to our Field in April and usually, that's when even more kids come out, so 2017 Summer Ball is lookin' GOOD!

My youngest boy will start practicing with THUNDER Pee Wee Team next weekend and they will get to work on DEFENDING their OVFL Championship.

My oldest Son and his GOLDENHAWKS have been back at it HARD for a month already, College Football is really a year round Program now, save a few weeks off, here and there. The ONTARIO CHAMPIONS, WLU GOLDENHAWKS have been running and lifting everyday for a Month, with a Friday Prac and have started Inter-School Full Contact Scrimmages, with the first one happening last Friday, with the U of Western MUSTANGS hosting.

Well, the 2017 Toronto Thunder Junior Varsity Season game to an abrupt halt in Ottawa yesterday in the OVFL CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP Game, as we
were SLAPPED by the Defending Champions, The Myers Riders, 46-14 http://waploaded.com/addons/smileys2/salute.gif

Any season without a Championship is a DISAPPOINTMENT, but our players played hard and continue to grow as players and young men, which is what FOOTBALL is about.

My middle boy, Aidan, had a good season and continues to follow in his big bro's footsteps as an All-Star Wide Receiver making great catches, when it matters the most, with the season over, I can post some Junior Varsity TEAM Highlights and TDs.

My youngest boy, Colin's Team, the Toronto Thunder Pee Wees (11 and 12 year olds) WON their Conference Championship Game yesterday at Birchmount and will DEFEND their OMFL Championship at Ester Shiner Stadium next weekend.
Super proud of this Team and still pissed I missed that game due to the Playoff Game Scheduling BS, but Mrs. Mustangshow and his Grandma was there to cheer him on while I was in Ottawa with my oldest Son for my Middle Boy's Game.

They have a great young team that HITS and PLAYS HARD.
