So far its been good only have about 100 kilometers on it. Some things are weird like the "Brake Assist" will take some getting use to and before I leave today I have to figure out how to turn the lane centering thingy off, although its helpful when I'm trying to find functions on the screen. lol.

On most Fords, the lane centre feature can be turned on / off with a button on the end of the turn signal stalk.

They are a nice ride. Enjoyed the one we test drove for a couple days.
I like it a lot had it on the 401 and 427 and this afternoon, nimble and very responsive in traffic —also in slow stop and go traffic more power is regenerated and appears to not much if any is used in traffic. It has a lot of cool features.

Another member here has had one for almost a year as a daily driver and loves it. Was just asking him about it last week in terms of range, etc., and it has exceeded their expectations.

Basically bought to commute and eliminate fuel expenses —good to here that I was a bit concerned about winter charging

Wired up a 240amp charging station today and what a difference in charging speed. Should have just over 400k range by midnight.

Today I calculated the cost to drive 75 kilometers to work and it seems it was 51 cents. I suck at math and I'm no Einstein but I used 17kw hours at an overnight charge rate of 2.8 cents (i rounded to 3 cents) 17 x .03 = .51. If this is correct I'm not expecting a huge increase on the hydro bill each month.

level 2 40amp —I also have a gas generator/welder capable of phase 3 power that I plan to setup for emergency charging. Phase 3 can give me a full charge in 1/2 hour for a few bucks in gas.

Is there much of a cost difference between the level one and level two, Since it’s charging more volume faster? Or does it flush out about the same in the end

I've been rethinking my energy cost and have come to this conclusion: my daily round trip is approximately 40 kwh's of energy used. This can vary give or take a few kwh's daily but 40 is a benchmark. When I get home to charge thru the night it takes about 4-5 hours to recharge what I have used on my daily commutes with the 240amp double pole.(level 2 charging) So I think the correct calculation for daily expense would be .03 cents x 5 hours leaving my total cost to commute 150 kilometers a day at 15 cents/day. The F150 with the 5.0 was ranging in the $30 a day zone. It's my understanding that the higher the electrical phase, the less energy or expense is the end result. With Phase 3 power the cost to commute would be near zero, but most households don't provide this power. Maybe Elon is onto something when he once said electricity should be free and maybe the grid won't be as taxed as what people think from cars. I would think there are other factors taxing grids especially in warmer climates and maybe future cold climates. But one thing I think is that it won't be electric cars taxing the grid.
is my thinking correct on the hydro charges?

ok —now that I'm green again I'm going to take one last kick at the can. I promise.
40kwh divided by 5 hrs to full charge = 8kwh's used to recharge the batteries per hour
8kwh x .087 charging rate = .696 cents hourly charging rate
.696 x 5hrs to charge = $3.48 per day to operate the Mach E
$20.88/week - $1085.76/year/ - $90.48/month
This varies depending on that days driving habit but the distance to commute won't change unless I'm rerouted for some reason. I went to the Hydro website and the 2.8 cent overnight rate is not automatic and I think it is something that needs to be applied for. Not sure, I didn't dig too deep into it.
so that's it, that's my final answer and I can move on —I Hope. lol

Coming back to Don’s Question “How do you like it so far?” Then I had 100k on it. I’m around 4000k now. I had no intentions in buying an electric car or much interest in them. I didn't and still don’t know much about them. I never watch any Youtube or red reviews, I never even went to forums. All the info I ever saw was other social and usually negative. So what I say here is completely unbiased and is not intended to offend anyone or influence.
After about a week I realized this is probably the best chassis Ford has ever built. The car is solid and rigid as hell. No creeks in my dash like my s550 and my foxbodies. It takes right turns like a go kart. It’s true what they say about torque and in Unbriddled mode will likely launch out of the hole quicker than a 5.0 Mustang and may beat on the quarter with a good hole shot and a sticky track. There is no air sucking in windows and door jams. The gaps in all opening seams are show car quality and the paint has very little orange peel in it. The car is sealed tight. I’m assuming all this attention to detail has to do with the fact it is electric.
Is it a performance car? In my opinion, it is not. The suspension is very stiff and noticeable on rough roads. The car has almost no lean into corners. I feel a bit of bump steer when changing lanes and accelerating at highway speeds especially on rougher roads. I’ve encountered some understeer and a bit of hydroplaning on a section of the 401 under construction. To be fair I noticed a lot of the vehicles around me experienced the same hydroplaning. Maybe all this rigidness has a down side. Possibly 15 or 16” wheels with a deeper sidewall would soften the ride a bit.
The Mach E I have purchased is a Premium model. I think there are two other models to choose from including a GT. I can’t go into the differences because I don’t geek out on all that hype and I think I was lucky enough to be guided into the right choice with the sales staff at Trillium Ford. I think the car is fantastic. It does exactly what I was expecting and I’m still in the learning process of how to care for and drive it. I would be bullshitting if I didn't say I’m a little nervous about winter coming. I can honestly say if time proves this to be a good daily driver I can’t see myself buying another ICE for this intended purpose. With all the positives this car proposes it just doesn’t make sense to me to have an ICE for daily driving especially in the city but I do understand the challenges of electric for some people. I will likely never bring it to the track or the autox, it just doesn't feel like that type of car to me and I would also be too concerned with taking some of the rigidness out of it bashing around a tight course. I can't bring myself to call it a Mustang and even though I’ve been told the reasons and Ford defends the decision. I think they should have called it the Pinto or maybe a Maverick and called that small pickup something else.
