I carry a spray bottle full of alcohol/water mix, a few towels for detailing just in case, a flat tire repair kit, inflator, booster pack, cutters and gloves. Oh and a CAA card as Lou mentioned below.

Air in the spare is checked at least spring and fall, confirm tools, gloves and jack are there and pretty much nothing else beyond a sharp knife and CAA card.
If doing a trip of any distance, drop the full size spare in the box and during sledding season my service call tool boxes + booster pack are under the back seat (mostly for sled adjustments or repairs).

Socket set
Pry bar
Screw drivers
Jumper pack
a few gloves
two spares for the trailer

various wood planks and blocks
A trolley jack
a code reader
ropes and bungee cords
a flashlight
an air pump
various rags.

most of this resulted from experiences towing an enclosed for the last 10 years.

Breaker bar and socket because the ford one bent.
Plug in air pump, at least I know where it is and it's only useful in a car.
Jumper cables, as much to help someone else as myself.
