S197 front lower control arms...

Have any of you S197 owners replaced or upgraded the front lower control arms on your ride? If so, what did you go with, and was there any change over stock?

Think lots of peeps get GT500 arms. Cheaper alternative to AM with OEM reliability and apparently their much stiffer than the GT arms

I did the GT500 arms from American Muscle. Really nice when I order them from the states and the box says "Made In Canada" and I pay duties. They are much beefier than the stock GT arms.

As far as the upgrade, the front end feels tremendously tighter and I found the front end didn't feel like it was plowing in the turns. I did realize though that the tires need to be upgraded.

Try some local dealers if you have any contacts in the parts department.

Stephen, unless yours need replacing, you're better off spending the money elsewhere for your intended usage.
