MotoMaster battery tester

Any opinions on this battery tester.
Worth buying or junk and is 100amp enough for these testers?

Have a similar style one in the shop, gives no indication as to actual load applied but works just fine. Online search, seems most of whats out there are also 100amp.

Can you test a battery accurately using a digital volt meter?
Have one person watch the meter while someone cranks the engine and watch the voltage drop on the meter during cranking.

You could but load meter is also great for confirming / tracking down connection issues.

I have a digital volt meter but you can't set a voltage setting on it.
It just measures voltage.

Should work I guess.

When using the digital volt meter method to test is there any need to disconnect the coil wire?
My Mustang starts up pretty fast.

Bought it to diagnose the Mini since my old OBDII scanner wouldn't support it.
Scanner + a new O2 sensor was less than a visit to BMW ....and I now have a new scanner :)

Thoughts on analog vs digital for these 12v battery testers.
Is one better than the other?
