View Full Version : Do you miss your past Mustangs?

Haven’t started a thread in a while so figured why not. I know many are sentimental about past rides. Curious as to which of your old Mustangs (if any) do you miss and why.

Personally my current PP1 17 GT is by far my favourite Mustang I have ever owned. I also never really missed my old silver 2000 GT to be honest but maybe I am less sentimental about past machines…

Easy one for me, instant regret when I sold my 2000 GT.

Should have kept my 09. Do miss it a bit, was classy looking to me. Love the one I got now .

No, not really, don't miss my '90 Notch. A lot of good memories with this car though. If it was in better shape I would have kept it, but I like my current ride so much better.

My first car was a "EP" Vermillion Red paint on black interior 90 lx notch 5.0/5-spd. It looked pretty much identical to this one, right down to the 10 holes, black pin stripe and tint.

Wouldn’t mind owning a nice red 90-93 loaded fox GT hatch or notch (in addition to my 17 GT). Maybe if pricing comes back down to levels of sanity again (which appears to have already started)

I miss my first mustang like CRAZY!! 1969 Mach 1. It was exactly like this one minus the Mach 1 stripe. Also had a 351 C 4V in place of the 351 W and a 4 spd. I sold it for 2700 bucks. It was mint. I was dumb. Lol

I don't miss my 95 Miata. That thing was just way too small. #BigGuyProblems

I miss my Cougars. Especially my first one, as it was my first car. My grandfather taught me stuff while working on it. Got the second one because I missed the first one then I sold it...makes no sense, lol.

First one. Pic is after the "restoration" from the guy who bought it.

I've had so many cars and never really had that sentimental attachment. Cars are toys. We're basically the curators keeping them in good shape for the next owner to come along. If I had to name a car I miss though I think I'd go with either the '88 IROC that I completely rebuilt or the '90 coupe. That had rotten strut towers and was full of bondo but it looked amazing in emerald green stanced on black cobra reps. I should have kept either one.

my first Mustang was my 88, bought in 90. I shopped a bunch of different cars, not wanting a Fox as they were the favorite of the gold chain crowd at the time. I didn't and don't have a gold chain btw.

After testing 320's and a few other "sporty" types I circled back to the Fox as it was the most fun per dollar.

I put 550,000 on that 88 and just cut it up last year with a tear in my eye.

Only had/have two Mustangs and still own both cars, no plans in selling either.

However the one vehicle I do regret selling was my 2000 Dodge Dakota Sport Club Cab.

Nah.. do miss the times though.

I’ve thought about selling my fox and getting into something newer but I know I’ll regret it and probably never have a chance at owning another one. It’s cheap to own so I’ll hang onto it.

I’ve had my car for 15 years. It’s in my wedding pictures. It’s been the “green car” since my daughter could talk.
Don’t think I could sell for fear of regret.

Miss my 2000 GT. It was a silver coupe with low miles.

What are you driving now?
Funny we've never actually met and we both live in Bowmanville. Might have to do a meet next year with some locals.

I miss my SVO and 07 GT a bit, and of course my first one which was a brand new 87 LX 5.0 hatch.

I really miss this one, it was my first car a 1965 that I bought in 1978 and I spent a lot modding it. Sold it to help pay for the down payment on a new house.

It all the Shelby suspension parts added, after market swaybars and springs, 289 HiPo that was all fresh with a 6 pack set up, all new interior with the wood grain dash components from 1966, nearly all new body panels and painted in acrylic lacquer with Centerline wheels.

Still turn my head whenever I see one.

Sold my 2011 GT convert this summer. Presently dont own a Mustang or other special interest car. The market has to improve before I make a move to something.

I haven't sold any of them but considered selling the GT....then I snapped back to reality because I'd probably regret it.

I miss a couple, yes. My red 86 GT the most (sold to a member here who went turbo IIRC), and my Blue Bullitt (also sold to a member here, Ralph, rip buddy). The others I had good times in, but I don’t really regret selling any of them.
Tried to upload pics, but says invalid file.

There are 2 cars I bitterly regret selling. My chrome yellow 2004 Cobra vert was a forced sale due to financial difficulties, and I sold it in 2009 for far, far below market value, because my family had to eat. . I had a chance to buy it back 3 years later, but instead bought a new 2012.

The second car, truly the love of my life, was my 2016 Jaguar F-type convertible. Absolutely adored that car. I didn't have to sell it, but after my accident in which I broke my femur, it was difficult to get in and out of. Since then, I've improved a lot and realized I could have put up with it.
The car is actually for sale right now in Guelph, and I'm thinking about it.

A third car, not really mine was my son Adam's 1990 foxbody convertible. He put a lot of money into it, and sold it for peanuts while Rhonda and I were away on a cruise.

No. The only mustang I owned was a 98 3.8 jelly bean. Was a good commuter till it burst into flames.

I do however miss my Lincoln’s and my cougars.

My first car ever was an '85 GT. I posted a pic. I was 18 and until then I used my father's '84 crown vic.
I rolled it into a ditch on the way to work on the 400 just south of finch. I hit black ice, spun across 3 lanes, and rolled into the ditch. The car was totaled. I was lucky. I walked away with a very sore back and a dislocated shoulder from the roof caving in on me.
Anyway; If that hadn't happened, I would still have it today!
Another car I miss is my '91 Z28. It was just after my divorce, and I needed money to fight my ex in court for a number of things which I don't want to get into here. I also posted a pic of it.
