Finally getting around to installing MM control arms I bought 10+ years ago. Back then I thought urethane was the way to go, and that’s what i bought with the arms. I didn’t realize until I opened the box yesterday.
Since I’ve built the IRS with all Delrin I decided the front end should go Delrin also. I checked with a local supplier who got a 2 week wait and $195 price as the best they could do.
Since the urethane kit has all the sleeves and hardware I opted to have the bushings machined by a local guy. I went and picked up the Delrin rod ata local supplier, dropped off and had my bushings a few hours later.
Over the years he’s made all manner of stuff for me, not just car stuff.
My local guy has 40+ years experience and is really good, as well as economical. He’s retired, can use beer money and also owns a beautiful 69 Mustang.
If anyone in the Hamilton area needs some machining done, PM me and I’ll make introductions.
