How would you guys rate these in quality/performance.

if it matters its being combined with H&R supersport springs.

Of course i'd love Bilsteins but there just so expensive.

If it was mine, would opt for regular KYB's if Bilsteins didn't fit the budget.

I have Tokiko HP's on mine. Budget didn't allow for Bilsteins or KYB's. While they do work OK, wish I had waited.

Which are the regulars? the GR-2 / Excel-G or the AGX?

Rock auto has the GR-2s on for $59 each and the shocks for $34 each, the AGX run $114 and 87 respectively

Sorry, yes the GR-2.
Not a fan of the AGX.

So about $190 USD plus shipping is pretty good for a set of Shocks and Struts.

Excellent bang for the buck but only if your running a mild to moderate spring rate.

I need to find out what my spring rate is. My car is running the Roush v6 springs. But I think my stock fox body shocks and struts, though fine on smooth roads, are not well equipped for the substitute roads of Sault Ste. Marie. Through some other research, I've read that putting in aftermarket CC plates might help with some of the harshness I get from the rough patches, Do you agree with this ZR? Sorry to Hi Jack OP,

Snugging up the chassis via sub frame connectors, G load brace and strut brace go a long way towards making it feel tighter and ride better. If your currently on stock shocks n struts, you'll be in heaven with the KYB's. They do however fall a good bit short of what Bilsteins would give you. CC plates are great for getting the alignment where it should be along with giving it a more responsive / planted feel on the road. For the plates, suggest Maximum Motorsports only.

apologies to the OP as well.
