Experienced body work people; need some advice

I am about to begin work on my Avanti. It's a fibreglass body and I need some advice on what products to use and where to get.
-type of primer: I know there's all kinds on the market: high fill, think, thick, whatever
-type of bondo: think layer, thick layer
-sealer

Essentially I am planning to sand the who;e body down, make it smooth, gap the body panels as best I can, clean up
some rough spots and then primer it prior to having someone paint it.
Any help or advice would be appreciated

If you have actual cracks the best and strongest fix is actual fiberglass mats and resin.

If you have stress cracks that don’t go all the way threw then you need to V them out and can either use strand glass and resin or a glass filled filler mix

If your just straitening out waves for that lazer flat look than any fill to glaze with work.

Remember filler(bondo) is for filling

glaze is for final smoothing and blending.

Glaze sands much easier with a lower grit

Also. Save yourself a TON of time and flatten the glass filled bondo and filler while it’s still slightly soft. Use a bondo file to do the bulk of the work and then a 40-60 grit on your Long board. Lots of inexperienced guys will let it fully harden and then it takes way more time to sand out.

Let your Glaze harden fully

If you are not experienced enough to feel how flat the panel is. Use a light mist coat of dark spray paint and then board it out and you will see the low spots (you can also buy a powder specifically for this if you wish.

My advice, don't touch it, leave the job 100% to a pro. Way too easy to do damage, especially since it's glass.

Do you know of any fiberglass boat repair shops, you could tap into for info? You can always ask how they would handle that kind of repair.
You tubers may be of info, too.

Rick, I am going to do some of it. I want a good paint job but I can't swing 20 grand just for paint, so I'll try to do what I can myself
