My free trial ended to day, & of course I've been blasted with emails etc, they want $16.99 + 17.9 % royalties, monthly , accordingly I've been told that there is no yearly contracts anymore etc, but I'm sure several people I've talk to say they they negotiated something like a $50 bucks a year for the basic service ? Thanks, G>

around 2005 I purchased a lifetime for $500.00 - it still works but since then a lot of changes and channels I can't tune into all channels, something to consider - I could probably upgrade but what for when there are so many other options - when I bought the F I didn't respond and after a few months they where sending me offers for $5.00/month - I didn't look into the details so it could of been limited or for six more months...

I got a yearly contract in July for $119.89 plus $21.46 MRF (whatever that is) and $18.37 HST. Total for one year $159.71.

you can get it for 60 bucks a year. just be persistent that you are paying too much.

Honest related question, do you find the sound quality to be good enough or does it sound like a poorly encoded mp3 from 1999. In both my cars it sounds like crap so even when they offer it super cheap I turn it down.

Agreed the sound quality isn’t the greatest. But also depends on the vehicle. Some sound better than others.
I think the wife pays $6 something a month for hers.

Just be patient. They'll come back to you with another offer (via email). Just got one and now paying $6/month for the next 12 months. When renewal time comes, if they won't extend for a similar price....I'll just cancel. I like the service, but not that much to pay much more.

^^^exactly, I had xm in my truck for years. With COVID and not driving anywhere I cancelled it. They kept calling and calling for me to renew. I kept ignoring them. I finally answered one time and told them it better be a great deal for me to renew. So got them way down in price and transferred it to the wife’s car.
Xm does sound much better in her car for some reason.

Do you have to pay per vehicle or does it cover all ?

Then its not for me, I have a CD in the vert and they are dirt cheap these days, think I'll just round up some oldies & goodies & cruise , its only back ground noise , I rather listen to the growl of the 5.0 with the lid down anyways !
