My wife's 1988 Honda Civic 4-dr had that problem too, along with a problem defrosting the windshield in winter and removing the condensation on inside of windshield on rainy days.
Not my choice Honda BS.

We had a 99 CRV, and this is what I used in it's final years to heat it up over winter.

My fathers 97 Accord 2.2 throws off a ton of heat from the heater even with the OE spec 180* thermostat.
