Cool link, had no idea this existed...but given the poor fitment of tools in certain fasteners-I had a feeling something was amiss.

And there is pozidriv that is quite common for use in Electonics Manufacturing that looks so similar to Phillips and JIS.

JIS-been awhile since I heard that.

I have a 31 year old Nishiki mountain bike that takes a 1 inch threaded JIS size headset.
30mm bearing cups and 27mm crown race.
They are not easy to find but I got a true JIS size headset from Montreal several years ago.

They sell these bullshit "JIS" 1" headsets here with 30.2mm bearing cups and 27mm crown race.
Good luck trying to press that 30.2mm bearing cup into a JIS size head tube.

When I was around 14, (1975), my friend and I were given a non running Honda CT70 to try and get running. We just about stripped the heads on every Phillips fastener until a mechanic at Dicks cycle told us to buy an impact tool. Went to the old Hassanalis automotive on Eglinton and bought this. Wasn't cheap when you were making $2.00 hr, but the quality is top notch. I use it to this day on small stuck fasteners, and it takes a 3/8 socket.
