I need a new snow brush for BuRT (Big Red Truck) and was thinking about getting a foam type one. They advertise them as non-scratching and would like to know from people that have one if this is true. I also need it to have an extendable handle, so if you have any recommendations, or know of any sales, please post them.
Thanks
Stephen
Lower it, even short brushes work.

They work pretty well. Crappy tire has a few. I have the Garant and Reflex ones. Both extend like 4-5 ft. The Garant is all foam on both sides and the Reflex is foam on one side and bristle brush on the other side which works well to clear around the windshield wipers. For heavy snow you literally just push the snow off the car. Works okay on light snow. I tend not to actually let it touch the surface of the car as the dirt on the car will just drag on the surface.

I was thinking of going the other way.

Not trying to high jack your thread, but hoping I can compliment it. A couple of years ago I stumbled on product called 'Scrape-A-round'. It's a conical ice scraper and works incredibly well. It won't replace a snow brush, you still need one of those but it will make short work of scraping ice of a windshield.
I would not use it on headlights as shown in the video it will probably scratch the plastic lens.

We have the Garant one and have used it on the van for a few years. I haven't noticed any scratches but then again I rarely wash it. The telescoping feature is great.

My son has been using the Garant foam brush for about 4 years and it does not scratch. He'll have to replace it soon as it's getting worn. My wife also has the same brush and I have specific instructions not to use anything else on her Rav, lol.

I have a foam snow brush for the X5 and it appears to work well. I still try to not touch the surface but I sure I do sometimes. Haven’t noticed any damage in the 3 years I have owned it.
By the way, nice Ruby Red F150...one of my favorite colours on those. Is it a 20 or the new 21 model?

Mines a 2020, but the colour is now Rapid Red, similar to Ruby Red but slightly different.
