Wrap or paint?

So here is my dilemma. I HATE having a white F250. Looks like a contractor truck. I want to do a color change. I will never go back to white. I would likely change it to a Ruby Red color like my old F150. I need opinions. I'm thinking a wrap would be 3500 plus and I'd have to deal with white inside the doors etc. I have no idea how much a color change would cost in paint but I'm guessing double the wrap price. Anyone experienced in this offer up opinions?

Just a thought,
what about a pin stripe down the side to break up the white, or maybe just having the bottom or top half of the truck painted or wrapped another colour?

One of my close friends owns a shop that wraps high end cars. You ca. Totally wrap door jambs for a completed finished look. For an F250 tho you could spend up to $5000 plus, he did a newer Alumiduty in a full matte and I think it was up around there. Wrap is nice because totally reversible and generally less cash than a complete proper respray.

Newer high gloss by vinyl like Inozetek really so look comparable to paint, however lower grade vinyl will never be as glass smooth and glossy as paint. However at the end of the day it’s probably a 5-7 year solution before needing to be redone especially if truck is stored outdoors.

Accents like Zippy suggested are a great way to reduce the “contractor grade” appearance. I’d suggest doing like the modern top tier trucks. Do paint matched or wrapped bumpers amd grill, black roof, get black housing headlights and taillights, and find a set of new takeoffs from a platinum or king ranch. Would really take
Some of the “work truck” off it.

With resale of trucks being so strong you could likely sell/trade it and get into a new truck for close to the same money (especially if you find something you like on a new dealership lot).

I was thinking of doing the same to mine - I may do partial wrap (also white f150) as Laffs mentioned the door jams could be wrapped as well. I purchased wrap materiel a few months ago but have never applied it so it will be a first for me, if I decide to do it. The problem I was having was getting the film from 3M. Not sure if it was covid and they where focused on ppe or the company I had purchased it from just sucked (they where problems with the two orders I placed and will likely never use them again - ND Graphics) - many of the colours just not available at that time. The material itself is about the same cost as buying a gallon of paint + other material is needed to complete the job With the labour it is comparable to a paint job

That’s a nice truck bluetoy and I would also get some black on it to break it up.
I’d consider the Ford appearance package type stripes on it.

Lol.. It is also a great tow vehicle for my 13000# fifth wheel. Can't justify sending 80k for a different color.

All those accent tapes are ok but it's still a white truck. I'll be honest. I dislike white with extreme prejudice but when you are buying used you take what you get as far as color goes. I looked for 8 months before I found one. Like others have said. Pickups are high demand and then a lariat short box diesel might as well be made of unobtainium if you want a good one with low miles.

I'm going to get a quote for a color change. I'm sure it will be too much.
